i am happy like a child right now lol, see a friend just sent me a box full of books!! how happy could i be? this is like the best gift someone could give to me..
actually i just asked her if she could canvass me a book on english writing and she told me she have plenty of it at home.. she is from Manila and she goes to Recto where she can buy tons ok used books for less..we do not have that here in Zamboanga city..
anyways i thought she will just be giving me one book and i got 10 books!! and she sent me some of my fave books too!! i am on heaven right now.

lol i am addicted to mylot too but i do not let this affect my love for books haha..i still find ways and means to read books...

Hello Jazel_Juan, hehehe Recto is a dump site or thrown place for old and second hand books. those books that are either old and imported from other countries or thrown or sold from private schools are sent there. I remember back in highschool i always get books from there, specially the hard to buy ones.. books there are cheap depending in the quantity of it

AWESOME!! I would be ECSTATIC if I got a box of books...I love books! Especially if I didn't get to pick them out, that would be exciting. SO I see Emily Giffin, I have read one book by her -- I think it was called "Something Borrowed" and it was pretty good. She's like a "chick lit"/rom-com type writer - I like her. What are the other books you've got in there? Do share!

Books and a child
I always loved the comics as a child and never those fat thick books which had tonnes of pages to read...
Then as I grew up, I felt reading Enid Blyton, O Henery was easier... so was Charles Dickens, Lev Tolstoy.... Got any of these?
Btw, today, I would love to get chocos and coffee as gifts on any festive occasion... How about that as a Gift?
ps: Dont start thinking that I would send you a box of those as even if I purchased them for you... I would end up eating all of those... just to taste if they were good for you

I have Annakarenina - Tolstoy.. i love that book, i also have Charles Dickens' David Copperfield - i grew up reading that book, i also have Beowulf lol, Moby D, the iliad hahahah!

I love getting books as presents to. I have so many books though and I just never take the time to read them. I really should because I really enjoy reading it is so relaxing. I've been reading fifty shades freed for over a month now lol. I read only 35 books so far this year. I am on mylot a lot or doing things around the house. I received two books as presents for Christmas this year.

Well, I'm very happy for you that you have received a Christmas gift that has particularly impressed.
I deduce that from your happiness, your favorite hobby is precisely reading. A good book is food for the mind, so to me, it has always been said.
It makes also like to know you have friends or relatives who know your tastes and as a result they give you something that is always to your liking.
