when sleepiness strikes me

In the field of work I have i am required to be always alert and active. I'm working online through phone call.My voice is needed to sounds very active and full of energy.However lately I tend to be very sleepy most of the time.I blame this situation due to cold breeze of December.I start my work at 5:00 am so i need to wake up at 4:00 since I live quite far from my office.
How may you help me to overcome my sleepiness?

May sure that you are getting atleast 7-8 hours of sleep. Test yourself and be asured that you are not depressed. If you are you may want to look into medications to lift your mood. If you have trouble getting to sleep I would look into using some melatonin to help you get to sleep. THis isa natural and some people don't make enough of it in their bodies.

I guess there's no way to get away from it but sleeping early at night. I wake up at 4:45 everyday and travel for an hour and a half to my work. I sleep at 10pm or sometimes even midnight. I have a class for 5 hours and I have to stay alert too. I think the only difference between us is that, I get to talk all the time and interact with my students so I had no time to feel sleepy. And i don't drink coffee.

Sounds like you work in a call center company or customer servicing.
I am a sleepy person.
I get sleepy all the time even if I got a good night sleep. Well, the good thing is I am not working for four years or more now. I get my nap everytime I feel to.
As to your question, I drink hot choco most of the time when I was working to ease my sleepiness. I do some stretching or walking too. I just need to move so that sleepiness will not be a problem.

Woah! that is some stressful job you got there and drowsiness will always accompany you. How about trying some vitamins or perhaps energy drinks. Energy drinks help me to become active and not feel sleepiness.

you need more rest or sleep. Maybe an extra day off, to gather yourself. Are you eating well there? take care...

Maybe you can try to get to bed earlier than before, or have a nap when you are really sleepy, just 5 or 10 minutes. I hope that will help you in some way.
