I can only imagine what my phone bill cost will be next month. My old coworker called me, and we talked for over 3 hours.
Now it's long distance, as my cell is 416 area code, and her home number is 519.
So I can only imagine the cost of my bill, but we haven't talked for awhile. But we are planning on getting together Saturday for a coffee.

My cell phone is unlimited everything so I could talk for 3 hours and it wouldnt cost me anything more then the $50 I pay each month for my cell phone service. I love it. I never talk on the phone more then a few minutes though. I hate chatting on the phone but will text all day long haha. I hope you are able to get together on Saturday that would be nice. Glad also that you got a nice long chat and hopefully the bill will not be to high.

Sometimes it is hard to decide whether you should spend the money on gas to go visit in person or on the phone bill. I guess you will get to do both. Enjoy coffee out with your friend.

You're 416? I would have thought you were in 519, being kinda far from the big smoke.
I'm 905.

Nope, I am on the border of 705 and 905. My house number is 905, but literally a few houses down are 705.
My friend lives about 25 - 30 minutes West and she is 519.
My cell is 416 because Bell seems to claim is as their area code, so everything seems to be long distance for me which is why I don't call anyone.

That's odd that your cell wouldn't have a local number.

Why has the call cost you money if it was the coworker ringing you? I don't understand. Was it on a cell phone?

I talked for 8 hours once. That was crazy. You don't seem worried about the bill, so it must have been worth it to you. I'm glad that you seemed to have enjoyed the call.

Hi friend, 3 hour continuous conversation without break
surely your phone will be hot after your conversation, may be it lost all the charge too
. Good to know you planned to have a coffee in the weekend. You have better conversation at that time

Hope your phone bill won't be too much I tend to not talk to people on their home phones for very long or I wait until I get free minutes at night to talk to the person so it doesn't cost much. But atleast you guys got to catch up on conversation and get to hang out this weekend.

Hopefully, the bill won't be too high despite your marathon chat session.
I'm glad that we have a land line with unlimited calling. I actually almost never use the (pre-paid) cell phone, because I'm just really not fond of mobile phones anymore. My boyfriend and I live together, and I either email or FB my friends. So, what is the use of a phone that may cause health issues over the long-term?

As far as your phone bill goes, you shouldn't have to pay for anything more than the extra minutes that you might have used on your phone if you are not on an unlimited plan as the person that receives a long distance call does not typically have to pay long distance fees.
That said, I can't help but wonder what your friend's phone bill will be. I have to admit that is one of the things that I love the most about using a cell phone because I never have any kind of long distance fees unless I am calling someone outside the country.

Maybe you should pick after 9:00 P.M. for a long conversation, because usually during that hour, you can get unlimited talk. Or if you both use the same service provider, a mobile to mobile calling is free and unlimited. I couldn't chat over 3 hours on the cell phone, and like you said, I couldn't imagine how expensive that phone bill gonna be.

I don't think I have ever talked on the phone that long, maybe though... But I always had unlimited or I would not be able to afford it. Lol. I am glad you had such a good conversation though!
