I'm nearly broke but I got some things I wanted

I had to go food shopping today, and I had to get a few things for myself. I went back to doing my Weight Watchers online. It cost a total of $48 and change and then it is $18 and change each month. I like it because it has such good tools. The online version is much better than before. I get reminders to eat. It asks if u tracked my breakfast or lunch, supper and snack. The old version didn't do this. I know when to eat now and not just any old time I feel like it. I didn't get hungry either. The extra water that u drank kept me from feeling hungry.
It also has a photo tracker do you can take pictures of your progress. My finances are tight, but I feel I am worth the cost of this helpful website. It also has a scanner where you scan the bar code and the points + values are calculated for you. Or you can use your calculator or fast track where you enter the points if a food item if you already know it.
I earned 11 points with activity today so I had extra points I could enjoy. I had a Reese's peanut butter cup, well it's 2 in the package. It was 6 points, so I could eat it without guilt. My weigh day is Sunday morning.
My goal for 2013 is to lose 100 pounds. I lost a lot since 2001, (iver 100 pounds now) and I want to lose the remaining weight. It's a journey. It helps to have the tools. I could justify not rejoining WW, but I feel my health and my overall happiness is worth the investment.
Your thoughts?

Thank you Sid. I have come a long way, but I'm just a little over half way to my weight where my doctor wants me. I managed to keep over 100 pounds off from when I had the bypass. But I still have a hundred to go.

It is good that you have the support of Weight Watchers. It is important, though, to view this as setting the stage for a lifetime of healthier eating rather than simply as a means to an end--the end being to drop X pounds from your weight.

Hi Wilsongiddard. You aren't telling my anything I font know. I've been on weight watchers for a long time, but had to give up the website when things got tough financially. I still managed but it is much easier with the tools that WW has. For me, weight loss is a journey. It's not a diet cuts about lifestyle change. My brother has lost 170 pounds on WW, and his youngest daughter has lost 100 pounds with them. It isn't a quick fix. It just helps to keep people's minds set in the right direction. My brother is now a lifer at WW.

See if you can pick up a copy of this week's People magazine. It has a whole lot of people in there who share their stories of losing a lot of weight. One woman lost 395 pounds. I'm not kidding. There are so many inspiring stories. From women and men.

This sounds great for you. I used to use livestrong.com and their data base there where you keep track of the food you eat daily and it calculates it all for you. It was a great site. And didn't cost a dime which was right in my ball park. hehe I hope this helps you. Sounds like you are well on your way anyway. Good for you!

Thanks Celticeagle. I've been at this do long now. I always got off track when I ran out of money to buy the fruits and veggies. I bought 5 big bags of frozen veggies from Walmart. I hope to keep myself in the foods that I need, because I do best when I can snack on them when I need something to eat.

That is great for you! I hope you have enough to last you. We bought extra vegetable medleys and such this time. If I was cooking I would be making beans and soups and such but I don't cook anymore. We used to eat alot better nutritionally when I was cooking. My daughter sometimes just makes the meat and serves it that way with no vegetables with it. She's a putz! lol

hi dearest PQ I am happy that WW works for you like it seems to. If it is that useful for you so go for it.
I only tried WW once for a few days when I visited a friend, that was 1989 and didnt like it too much so I never thought of selecting this program for myself.
Plus its hard to find a program which works for diabetics.........
I rather try to cut portions a bit and try my best to stick to foods which are good for me.

I wish you luck with your goals, and I know you can do it. My parents were looking at weight watchers, I was hinking of doing the free version online and tracking it myself. I want to loose 15 - 30 pounds this year. Now that I am going on nights at least this week, I am holding off on it.
