When we run short of cash, we borrow money from relatives, friends, neighbors, etc with promise we'll settle it on time. Have you ever done it settled debts promptly on time? If not, to clean image pay borrowings now even if long forgotten. Any reaction?

"Imo kalooy, imo pagpalooy" loosely interpreted means "out of pity you lend it to officemate" Not good you're being fried in your own fat. Try all means with tact and diplomacy to get back your CC.

On credit card, a very timely issue for me. Can I use my son's credit card as I've long been required by paypal?

If I ever borrow money I absolutely pay it back right away. I hate having to borrow money in the first place so I definitely make sure to pay it back... I wish people were that way with us though because there are a few people right now that owe us money and still have not paid us back when they said they would already.

Borrowers who renegade on their promises are bad looking. They should learn to reevaluate life principles especially on meeting debts. Spending money that should go to payment of debts isn't good. It's depriving the lender of the use of the money. Moneyed or otherwise, the lender has all the rights to claim it. Borrowers has no reason to delay payment. Is this what the borrower will do delay payment for letting him borrow money?

Me too. i don't borrow as much as possible. and if I do, I try to make amends by paying it back or doing them some favors so at least it is somewhat paid one way or another.

Now that you bring it up. :) I have an issue. My father gets intricately involved in borrowing and lending from friends, relatives, and others. He remembers some, he forgets some. He hates being questioned - because he is the man of the house, and I am a woman. So I have to periodically, and gently and tactfully ensure that the debts are paid in time. Now, when he borrows he borrows around 100 dollars, when others borrow from him they borrow almost 1000 dollars. The difference does matter, doesnt it, especially if the borrowing is for a long term without any interest? Even when there is interest condition, relatives dont pay up, there are altercations, and all that nonsense. Why have such issues? He doesnt understand!!!

The issue here is borrowing not for business but for small amount that can easily be settled on time. Borrowing must be resorted to only when the need is really acute so to say. At the soonest time possible the debt must be settled so as to establish good relationship. When the debt isn't paid on time, there's grumble from whom the money was borrowed. Secretly he'll make vow never to let the debtor borrows money again. The bottomline is be a good borrower. Better don't borrow.

Please tell that to the people who owe me money (and perhaps,my family as well) and constantly having an excuse for not doing any effort to at least account for them. I would hate that they default on their loan after the money and trust that I have given them.

For bad borrowers with no malice towards you. Make extra effort to settle all accounts. Borrowed money is borrowed money. Relationship isn't involved here. It must be paid per promise. If the lender can't look straight into the eye of the borrower, how much more for the borrower to gaze a straight look into the lender. If the 2 can't see each other eye to eye, the problem is simple, unsettled debts or other issues. If the intention is really not to pay- that's pure and simple bullying. It's a milder form for robbing.

Whenever I borrow cash to someone, I make sure that I will pay them on time. I never failed to pay them on time. I believe that, if I fail paying them on time, even once, I will get used to it and that is very bad and will cause a lot of trouble. Have a nice day and happy mylotting! :)
