My husband thinks I'm crazy sometimes

My daughter and I love being silly. We are going on a trip to Iceland next month and she always takes a teddy bear with her on her travels. I thought it would be cute to make a little suitcase for the stuffed monkey she always played with to take to Iceland. I just spent an hour and a half making this cute little knitted suitcase for the monkey. As a joke we wrapped up a present for Christmas which was a little sweater, hat and scarf for the monkey so I put that in the suitcase. I'm so excited to show my daughter when she gets home from school and my husband is looking at me like I'm crazy. It's so cute though.

That's a beautiful thing that you do. Some people may call it crazy or silly, but that's irrelevant. You and your daughter are happy, this will make your husband happy too. That's what matters most :)

I don't have a husband yet, but my boyfriend always thinks that i am crazy. But I don't care, in my opinion, when a guy says that you are crazy or stupid, he is probably love you very much.

Aww, I think that sounds so cute! Yes, I think as the previous poster said, it must be more of a mother thing to do things like that! My daughter is only a few months old, but I imagine how fun it will be to do cute things like that for her when she is a little older. That will be such a cute memory for your daughter when she is older. Maybe she will even do something similar for her own child someday! I think men tend to kind of roll their eyes over things like that, but I always wonder if deep down, they maybe think it's kind of cute, but it wouldn't be "manly" for them to admit to it. Who knows, though! Sounds to me like you are a fun mom.

Things like those could not be really appreciated by guys. I, as a mother, do think that what you did was cute. You know how mothers are. They are more creative in making things for the kids.....

You are probably right jenny1015, in general mothers are more creative than fathers in making things for the kids. That explains why most kids are closer to their mothers, I guess :)

Oh, I know! Sometimes it's so fun to act like a child would... not in a childish, vut a child-like manner, you know. I love it! I honestly don't understand people who are straight as a stick and strict and deadpan serious and think that all adults should be like that. I beg to disagree! You're only going to be happy if you are not afraid to have fun and do silly things once in a while. I saw a sock monkey for my fiancé for Christmas, who's 28. Yeah, I know, it's crazy. But at least he loves it! It's another question that he thinks he has the same kind of big ears as one of my fave local singers, and he mocks me by calling the monkey by the name of the singer :D.

There are little cute things done by a mother and a daughter whom daddy could hardly understand it. There is something i n a bonding of a mother and daughter whom only they understand and enjoys and sometimes it annoys dad very much.

Some men just don't understand! I think they think differently and not on the same wavelength when it comes to doing silly things, I think what you made is lovely, creative and thoughtful, I love doing silly things too and I am a guy.

Your kid will surely love it! Oh, I hope I could see it. I think it's so cute. Don't mind your husband. Men don't show their true feelings sometimes. :)

Finding things to make your child happy often times makes you childish and crazy and I believe this is common to most mothers. And seeing them enjoying your efforts makes you crazier even more.

Oh well your husband think your crazy sometimes? But at least i think it is really cute and sweet doing that for your daughter and sometimes husband really say that but they actually find it cute and funny too... Not unless your husband has no sense of humor but i believe he has coz he notice those stuff that way too. I am sure your daughter will find that cute as well, so dont worry about your husband statement, if you are! I find that sweet really and different!

Hey this is very much common in almost all the husband. You know when we go for the picnic I prefer to take food prepared by me and in our car myself and my daughter sing a songs, create jokes with my son and daughter. But my husband he shout on us saying lets reach first to picnic spot, why shouting in the car itself?

He can think you are crazy if he wants to. I think this is thoughtful and cute of you to do. As children we cherish our little furry animals as much or more than a real friend. I know she will cherish it and be happy you took the time to dress up her stuffed monkey.

I believe that after marriage one likes to become child when a child arrives in a couples life. We love to do the things which we might have not done during our childhood or we might want to repeat our mischiefs back again in front of our children. In our busy lives we normally do not have time to laugh as well and if in this faster world you are able to enjoy every bit of it then I must say you are lucky enough. If somebody thinks you are crazy then let him/her think that and just say aloud that yeah, I am crazy...atleast I am freakingly enjoying my life and wants our children to enjoy like that too. Let your children live their age. God bless u all
