See what happens when I'm left alone for a few hours, I start cooking and baking up a storm. Some have wild parties, but noooooooooo what do I do but start baking and cooking instead.
I made some home-made applesauce today with 5 apples, I still have 7 left from Costco cause they sell such large packages of everything. I showed my family here and at first I hear yes it looks good. Then I go over to the other apples and count them and mom says "Why did you make so much applesauce?" She can never keep her mouth shut about anything negative! I swear if I had kids and she did that I would never allow her to see them again, good thing I do not. It makes me so angry that some people have to find the negative in everything. How in the world do these people get on in life anyways? They are annoying, how do you cope with that?? I planned to freeze some of it cause I know what she would have said if it's in the fridge for more than 2 days. My dad said he made it long ago with raw apples. I would never imagine making it with raw apples, have you? It is on the table cooling now.
I also made a blueberry banana bread/cake and it looks great. I switched around a recipe again on purpose as I like to do so almost everytime it's kind of different. Do you ever do that with anything?
Are you drooling yet? Hehee.

My MOther and Grandma are just like your mother, they are both very negative. They can never see the good, but point out the bad. It's to the point I don't even talk to them, and avoid them. I have been putting away so much money each month, instead of saying good job, your almost there, it's you will never get there, when I was your age I had my house paid off (because my Dad got a lump sum of money when he sued a lady). She always points out, how she struggled for years with 4 kids and animals. She thinks we cant get any worse than she was. She had it so bad, when he parents handed her everything or how she nevr went to college (because she chose to have kids and I didnt).

It is good to avoid negative people and even family members are that way sadly. There is a saying that after you let go of all the negativity in your life then positive things start to happen. That is not fair to say those negative things to you either, especially if it happened cause your Dad sued someone and got a payment for it, that is just wrong. What do they want for you to find someone to sue now too? I would speak up and tell them. I know that probably won't even work though right?

I think my Mother just doesn't understand, some people have to work for their money. My Dad sued a lady for good reason after she was driving drunk and him over, and he had to get his leg amputated.
But she didn't have to skimp and save to pay a mortgage, worry about the roof over her head.
She never worked for years, and doesnt know the meaning of having to go without. My Dad always paid the bills, they have a lot of money left over each month to just throw away, and her parents always bought them things.
My Mother then sees this and refuses to do anything for us. She wouldn't buy a piece of toilet paper, saying you don't work hard enough. I know I dont have anyone to lean on, so I have to fend for myself.
But I agree get ride of those negative people, and you will be much happier. I am working on it and 2013 is for me, and my goals.

I used to make banana nut bread. We bought alot of bananas and afew were going bed. I had the recipe down pat too. It turned out perfect. I don't cook anymore so the bananas go bad. Sad. I love the bread with a little butter on top and microwaved. Yum!

I like using nuts in them, too but rarely have them around and they are so expensive nowadays (nuts). I use bananas that are way too ripe to eat and hate to throw away. I like putting butter on them and microwaving it too. I just might do that, later on.

Yes, the ones that are too ripe. So they weren't wasted. Now they are. Nuts aren't that expensive! I get walnuts all the time.

I feel more comfort when I own the house while other family member is going out. I will start cooking, I am not a good at baking but I can cook some delicious food. When I am alone I will looking for new recipe from Internet and practicing it and when my family get home they use to surprise because they found new food on the table.
My favorite recipe is something with lot of mixture of spices like traditional dishes from my country.
