My dad had an early appt to go to the eye DR at his VA hospital place and my brother took off work in the morning for it to take him. My mom went with them. It seems they were there like 2 hours at least and no one was getting him in. He was getting all flustered and mad so my brother took him home. He will be making an appt to see his old other Dr now. What is up with the VA hospitals these days? Is it because of all the new vets now coming home and they are over booked? I was so surprised to find out he didn't even get in today, he usually does. So my brother went back to work again after he brought him home.

I wonder if it is that so many vets are coming home. That many with medical problems though? Hmm. VA hospitals don't seem to have it together anyway you look at it. It is rediculous for patients to have to wait so long to get in to see their doctors. There has to be a better way of managing such things. Maybe alot of the patients are taking longer with the doctor and so they are getting behind.

Maybe, if this happens quite often, you should speak to the office manager and see what she has to say.

I think that most doctors took a vacation and would be probably checking back on their clinics after another week. Well, I have just read that somewhere. But that usually happens here as well. Well, atleast that happens to a few doctors that we know.
