I live in a dry place, well, it is dry enough not to have problems with mold or mildew unless of course it was something in the frig that I forgot to throw out, but there are other places where people do have problems with mold and mildew. Well, a few days ago I got a call from someone who lives in a moister wetter area than my self and she wanted help with a chemical free way of getting rid of her mold problem. And since I am all about chemical free living hence an Aromatherapist, I was eager to help her out. My first impression was holy cow! Her whole house smelled musky. All I needed to do was look up and see the mold growing in the corners of her house. But it wasn't just there, it was EVERYWHERE! On doors, tile, walls, you name it. The place should have been condemned it was that bad, but of course I wasn't there to judge maybe she got the house cheap knowing she was going to need to clean it up or something. So, I went to work. I used doTERRA essential oils of Thyme, Oregano and Tea Tree blended together and well, the pictures I think speak for themselves. No harsh chemicals where used. I told her in order for the house to continue to remain mold free, she would need to get "On Guard" from doTERRA as well and diffuse it in her house around the problem areas as well as do a little maintenance to check her plumping making sure the only factor for the mold was the climate where she was living. But hey there may be skeptics out there in mylot saying "I don't believe it." and yaddda yadda yadda, My words to them- don't knock it till YOU try it. There is an alternative to the chemicals and pills. There is a natural way a healthier way if everyone would just get back to nature.

I am not sure goin back to nature is 100% possible. Because if u have to be operated you have to go to the conventional doctors and not some natural healer.

Although there are a lot of people around here that do have huge problems in their homes with mold and mildew, I consider our family to be lucky that we haven't had the same kinds of problems that a lot of other people have. With the exception of basements, the most common place in the home to find mold and mildew is in the bathroom. Well when my husband and myself bought our house, we gutted the bathroom and replaced the drywall with antimold drywall and that seems to be something that has worked out very well for us.

She needs a dehumidifier and she has to see what type of mold it is, because some has to be removed by pros, as it can make a person sick.

Yes I have. I live in a country where it's mostly raining. Also because of the high trees there is way too much water. There are times the water level under the floor is over 1 meter high. There is less sun (hardly none) comming into the house plus the owner is not taking care of the house at all (renovations etc). I do not only have a mold/mildew problem but als a lot is getting rusty in my house. If I do not take care of it the mold is everywhere (matrasses, wood of the beds, in the washing machine, dishwasher, etc etc). So I clean a lot with vinegar which helps great. I do ventilate the whole house daily but still it's somehow a lost case.
