My family don't have an LED TV too but they sure enjoy watching television programs. My father like to buy one last year but I told him not to because there's still lot of new features will come after the year so he better to save up first before to buy. I love having LED TV especially to experience what they called the opera effect, I'm doing that here in my laptop but too bad my processor is still weak to handle it. But for now I'm still content using our CRT sony TV, a very colorful tv, besides we're only watch at night, my mom likes telenovela, so its not much energy consuming. :D

It is the frequency of your television, it makes the animation go smoothly by adding more frames per seconds. I don't know more about it but I experienced it in my laptop and I love it, I enjoy watching video using this kind of effect. It makes everything in the video like real, many said that it is just like a fast forward but it doesn't to my perspective. This effect was in every LED television today, I heard many people said their enjoying that feature, they using the max of it. So if you're buying tv don't forget to ask this opera effect because this one was a very important feature for a television. :)

I am still using a crt Tv. I find good with it for many years. Still now I don't find any problem while I use. I hope it will last for a long time. So that I need not to spent money for repairing or changing it.

Don't worry wonderboy, it will last for long, that's how it was built. And if it happens to have some troubles, surely you have some spare money to use for that in that time. By the way, I'm glad to know that we're still both using CRT tv... :D

See, akamaru is one of the witness, plus you add me, that makes two witnesses. Anyway, our television Samsung CRT, its 21 inch wide, and it live long about 24 years before it said its goodbye imagine that. That's how sturdy the CRT but of course its kind of energy and space sucker, that's was its advantages.

I still have a big bulky TV. I bought it new just a few years ago. It was cheap, but I don't watch TV enough to pay the awful price on those slim line TVs. However, it would be nice to not have it take up so much room!

That's true. For some, it's just a matter of keeping up with the current style. It's not worth the money to me.

Its not only just keeping up with the current style but also of how the things satisfy your needs of it. I love to experience all the features of new developed television today where you can also connect it via your laptop and do some sharing things and a lot more things, its crazy you know how the technology connecting everything today. The main point here is not about the old things and what's new but it is about giving every ones a satisfaction and enjoyment with every experience of things, those CRT colored TV is once a great advance technology before that everyone's love to experience, its just the same thing like today, nothings change, its just people love to see and try more features of things in this generation. :)

Hi AkamaruKei, after having the convenience to watch online movies I haven't watched the crt tv for quite a long time. Last year the small crt tv in my husband's elder sister room didn't work. We then replaced it with our 21 in crt tv. It still serves its service well. It's not that comfortable to watch movies on the small laptop screen. My hubby then purchased a led tv few months back. We then can enjoy watching our favorite programs via HDMI cable sitting on the declining chair Happy posting

My television wasn't slim for a long time after the LCD came out too. It was last summer when my uncle brought a LCD television home that we threw out our old television. I was upset that he wanted to throw out the television set I grew up with but then he said that this one would be better for our eyes so I guess it was a good decision. Some electronic stores allow you to finance a big purchase monthly if you want to buy a television set.

Our television set was also an antique with big speakers on the side so I really wanted to keep it. Unfortunately there wasn't any extra room at our house to keep something so big so we had to throw it out. I hope you find a nice and reasonably priced TV monitor.

We still have a television from era 70's and we put it at store room. We never threw it out. It is so antique and classic. Yes some people say lcd tv better for our eyes. If we have money we will buy small lcd tv.

Well indeed, it is cool to have the LCD or LED TV but if you can't afford yet then don't be too hard on yourself. Just be thankful that at least you have TV and could still watch. Some people don't have any after all. Just work hard and save so you can buy a new one sooner or later.

Me too, I was having the bulky CRT television for years now. My living hall television is still the CRT. It last many years. Two years ago I won an LCD television but the tv cabinet in my living hall cannot fit in. So I kept it in the box for another six months. At last we put it in our bedroom. Slimmer bigger and nicer. I hope you will get a LCD television soon.

We are also not switched to LCD or LED T.V's and We don't think that it's a need. Many of our friends and relatives have switched already to LCD's and LED's but We think old model T.v. is enough for us.

Oh, I'm sorry... I know how bad it is when you want something but don't have the money. We have LCD TVs... except for mine, that's a monstrum :). I have no problem with it, the only bad thing is that it's really hard to remove from the room, and get it out of the flat, from the 2nd storey... and I wouldn't want to emploiy delivery people, they are expensive.

LCD tv might be expensive but hey in terms of electric consumption it eats up the power lesser... so yes. Unlike the CRT TVs the LCDs has no radiation too that may cause cancer, infertility and eye defects...

Don't worry it will post some on sale- LCD T.V the price will probably drops down when more people has this. I think there are other cheaper and affordable offered lcd t.v you just have to look if you are not brand conscious. the last option is start saving money. ;)
