            Hi there Fellow Mylotters,
I just observed some people has this last song syndrome. I am not sure if all are aware of this term but this is what happening when someone has heard a music from outside. That he/she tend to sing that song eventually after a minute. And I found this gesture a very common one. That after hearing the song, they tend to repeat the hymn or sing some part of the chorus. I guess, this is the trend, or a normal gesture, singing the song after you have heard it. .

Yes, I know. You hear a song, and unconsciously, you start to hum it, and like an hour later, you're like... uhm, I'm singing a song. WHY I am singing a song... and THIS song. Sometimes I am not even aware of humming and singing, I just realise when I see people staring at me...

That happens. You want to remember the song. So now we have to keep quiet and not sing a song right after we hear it? What is next? Keeping quiet and not trying to memorize something by not repeating the words while reading it? Oh now we have to walk on egg shells just in case someone may question or get offending. I could go on and on about this discussion.

What you are telling here is so normal, i hear songs from old hindi movies of 80's they are so sweet, at times i sing them silently though..
Thanks for this discussion.

Hello Airasheila, I hope that you are fine. I love to repeat some songs, specially those sang at Church, I found more peace there to listen, remember and repeat.
My teen daughter tunes the car radio while I drive her to school, and from school, and I cannot remember many of her songs.

This is common, sometimes we stuck up to the so called, “Last Song Syndrome” wherein such song just can’t get out of our mind that the melody is locked in our brains for couple of minutes after hearing the song.
I also do this type of habit and make the people whose with me sing along as well. This is quite fun unless you are disturbing someone who doesn’t like the song choice.

Actually I also have the same song syndrome and I think most music lovers would have the same. I a person listens to a song that he likes, he wants that the song should be kept playing throughout, but the song has to be finished somewhere. Now, what happens is that the brain still wants the song to be continued so the person starts singing the sing. That's the so called song syndrome.
