Ugh, my typos!

Don't you just love when you have this new discussion to start and you think you've checked it all over for typos and everything. But as blind as I might be I missed one important one where I had said "cat" instead of "brother". Now everyone is going to be confused as to what I wrote that for and why I'm calling my brother a cat at the end of the paragraph. hah! Oh well, you will probably spot it if you check my most recent discussions though. Funny but I didn't want to ask anyone to delete it cause I tries to last time and it was ignored )with something else I wrote). So I can't do anything about it sorry...

This is the result of not reviewing our work before submitting it. Sometimes we are so confident that we typed the correct word and rely for the spelling checker to inform us by highlighting the incorrect spelling. Then, we will find out later on that we really typed the correct spelling, but wrong choice of word, he he. That's normal. I also have a lot of that. Have a nice day!

I have that a lot too especially nwhen I'm too enthusiastic with the discussions, I tend to forget to check stuff and assume that my autocorrect took care of everything, and then I realize it when it's already been posted. I see, so they don't delete everything after all even though you've requested them to do so, maybe it's because they thought it wasn't a major typo? Was that it?

I can get so aggravated and annoyed with myself when I miss a typo in a discussion or response or comment. There should be a red flag to tell you that you are not finished yet because something is not spelled right. I don't want people to think I can not spell because I truly can.

I can understand typos such as typing brotter, butter, broter and such instead of brother but cat?? I will search for your topic and get back here later

Am back after visiting that topic with the 'cat' smugly sitting where your brother should have No harm done really as those who have responded there did not even notice it.

Yes that was just one of my oddest typos ever, there. They do not look alike at all, a cat is much smaller than him for example. LOL

hahaha.. it is okay. Your brain is faster than your fingers that's why. You thought you have typed the word already but not yet. It happens.

It can be difficult at times to avoid the dreaded typing errors, which we are all prone to on occasions. Even proof reading the post before continuing is not always successful because we already know what we have typed and tend to read it with that knowledge in mind, thus missing the errors completely. Even a spell checker will not detect a problem if you simply type the wrong word since it will be spelled correctly. As a general rule it does not really constitute a problem, apart from making us feel conscious about the mistake once we notice it. The only real factor that matters is that the post is understandable.

Yes, I sure do hate the typos. Hate to read them and hate to make them. I always read my discussion over and then I pause for afew seconds and then go over it again thinking I may be thinking differently now and I will be more apt to see typos. I even re-write parts of it to make it easier to read and understand.

I always re-read my posts before submitting them to make sure that I haven't spelled anything wrong or used poor grammar. I sure don't want to have any awkward sentence structures, or anything like that! It is a good thing to be concerned about your clarity and spelling/grammar accuracy though. It just goes to show that you are one of the people in the world that actually cares about spelling words and saying things correctly!

We all go through the same mistakes sometimes. But I guess, Mylot members are really intelligent people that they will understand what you really wanted to say.

Most of my posts have typo errors. And yes, you're right even if I proofread it I still get surprised when I see typo errors right after I have posted my discussion. I am more likely to get typo errors when I am using my smartphone while mylotting.I also make a lot of errors when typing while feeling sleepy.

I also have some typos on my old discussions. It was very funny when I just finished posting my discussion, I read the entire words. There were some typos those are made respondents confused to read. When one week went by, I found all of the discussion's respondents misunderstanding interpreted my discussion. It was very funny.
