A lucid dream is essentially just a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming. Some people experience dream control or dreams getting more vivid when they are aware they are dreaming. While I've had lucid dreams, and I've had many, I've rarely experienced much dream control and lucid dreams can be kinda dull in detail. Though the most vivid dreams I've had have been lucid dreams, and the more vivid my dream seems, the more likely I am to realize that I'm dreaming.

I'm a fairly regular lucid dreamer-by regular I mean, 6-10 a month of full lucidity and elements of lesser awareness a few other times a month-a person needs to be careful with what they see online re. it, because...some people are just trying to sell products and don't give what appears to be what sleep specialsts and researchers relate re. it. I'm not sure if it can be learnt or if it is just due to me having a sleep disorder which interupts my sleep patterns. For some reason, that seems to be part of why it happens.

I have tried to lucid dream and ended up with amazing dreams, but I don't think I have much luck controlling my dreams. My dreams felt nearly real.
