I also think he was vegetarian because he had some problems with his teeth..
It was his toothache that led him to wars..in search of a cure...and of course, they are responsible for all those eccentric decisisions...
I just received this mail...which identifies three leaders electorates have
elected.
a. The first one associated with crooks, consulted astrologists, shuttled between two mistresses, was a chain smoker, and drank almost 8 to 10 martinis each day!!!
b. The second one was a bone lazy person who loved to sleep late right up to noon, and was thrown out of his office not once but twice. His other qualification is that he used opium during his college days.
c. The last one is no brainer. War hero. Only one mistress. No smoking, and No non-veg. Only occassional beer.
Given such a choice...do you blame the Germans to have elected wrongly?
And would you say...a little bit of wrongs/enjoyments help us realize such things are not worthwhile...and we move on, where as self denials can make a person very cruel.

I cannot blame Germans to have elected wrongly because Germans never elected Hitler : he lost the presidential election in 1932 (37% to 53 to Hindenburg) and if his party won the election at the parliament the same year, it was only with 33.1% and no majority... it is Pdt Hindenburg who called Hitler as Chancellor in January 1933, and 7 months later Germany was no more a democracy but a dictatorship imposed by a coup d'état.
You cannot compare Hitler with somebody legitimately elected, whatever their faults. By the way, Hitler had several mistresses and his own astrologist, Hanussen -- several movies have been made about him --.

So the astrologer went wrong and not Hitler..hmm...
Having mistresses...may be ok...but adultery....no way..lol That can be very expensive..lol
May be that is why he didnt marry...he would have to leave all those mistresses...
Wonder if his wife figured that one out...if she had, she would be alive.
I too dont blame Germans topffer...most of the Germans were too scared around that period...for self and family...had I been in Nazi Germany, I would have done the same thing...keep quiet, look the other way.
In fact, when my neighbor beats up her driver, I do that...so how am I different from those scared Germans...they at least had reasons to be scared...all those pograms..they must have heard of it...including burning of human beings.

Yes, and sadly they have had to hang their heads in shame even after the World War II...few jews would trust Germans...notwithstanding the fact that many of them would only be having feelings of apologies in their mind. Schindler for one..qualified for that respect.

I think one factor too is Hitler was very intelligent and impressive in his time. He's able to convince people with words and with his commands.
I am not sure about his teeth problems. LOL. Didn't he use medicinal plants like Aloe Vera (I learned this medicinal plant can cure tootache and extract too from mylot. LOL).

Of course it is gossip...intended to achieve an objective...none of it is true...dont believe in what you read or her on Internet..:)
Even the tooth problem...I made it up...but if someday in future they find that I was right...then I think I would deserve the credit to that so I reserve my rights on that count.
If you'd mentioned Aloe Vera, he would think it was a girl..sweetie...for all his supposed intelligence, he was dumb...there are patches of intelligence with patches of insanity ...it can only be expected of such a freak.

You can take any person and find flaws with them that perhaps have or will have an effect on the decisions they make. Especially when it comes to leaders. You can find some strange quark about everyone of our presidents. It could be that positions of power lead to more of them...

Hi,
He was as straight-laced as a monk when it comes to personal discipline. No women, booze or meat for that matter. Maybe history is not kind to him as the writers of history favors those who won and condemns those who fell. His idea of rounding up the Jews backfired when his generals took to themselves the maniacal slaughter of them in the concentration camps. Had Hitler developed the Jews into a fighting army, given their history of conduct in the battlefield (David and Goliath, Moses and the Pharaoh, Joshua of Jericho, to name a few), why, he could have conquered the whole world in no time.
As they say, he has a touch of genius with insanity in between, which led to making blunders and missing important decisions that could have led the way to greatness and renown equal to the ranks of Goethe, Karl Marx, Beethoven, Suze, Von Braun and all Germans who invented the jet engine and V2 rocket which brought us to the space age.

I agree...all geniuses are insane to an extent, otherwise it is not possible to be a genius...insanity is simply a price to be paid for superiority in some sphere.
I too felt history was not kind to him. And your logic of history favoring winners has been used by me n number of times. I too felt that his generals did that slaughter, not him.
He had no reasons to, while they had.
They'd stolen the wealths of jews, and stashed it all up there, in Swiss banks. Hitler did not do that because he genuinely believed in bright future for his fatherland.
So if jews were liberated, these thieves would be caught tried, and forced to return those pieces, right? That is the reason, they had the reason to do what they did eventually.
Extermination of jews started only when defeat was imminent.
And last but not the least of reasons in favor of Hitler, no paper linking him to jew extermination, not even a portrait of him visiting those camps. When the country believed success was possible on all fronts, why would it prepare for eventualities such as defeat? If he hated the jews as much, he would have visited those camps, taken perverted pleasure in being sadistic towards those in prison. There are no records of such visits also. Not even the prison inmates have reported having seen the Fuhrer. Given such a big loophole, I am inclined to believe that Hitler was innocent of one sin...and that was killing of jews.
