questions about paypal

Philippines

Hello everyone! only have a limited time being online so I don't have much time to search here in internet about paypal. I do have a paypal account as it is a requirement here in myLot to receive our payments upon reaching the minimum payout. But I don't have a bank account yet as I would like to transfer my earnings there to a bank. I tried sending someone from my paypal to hers but it isn't possible. Paypal says that I have to add a debit card. My question is can I add my cash card to my paypal without going to my bank? I live far from the city and I seldom go there. Maybe I will visit my bank the next time that I will be in the city. Please share what can you say? There is no Union Bank here in my country and I wonder what other banks accepts paypal transfer of funds?

Thanks for your response airasheila and @jeanneyvonne: I had just learned that my bank BDO charges more than what Union bank charge in withdrawing from my paypal account.

Oops, what I meant was there is no Union bank here in my town. The main city is some 40kms away from the town I live. I am from Tarlac province. How about you, from where are you? Is there any other bank aside from Union bank that accepts paypal?

BPI can also be used as a bank account at Paypal. However, it charges PhP150.00 per transaction.

That's strange. My dad had a Paypal account in the past. His account didn't add any bank information and he could still send money to anybody. He just couldn't withdraw money from Paypal and that's all. I added my credit card account to my Paypal account. I also added my bank information. I think the debit card will work the same.

I did had a transaction that I sent money to someone's paypal. So it is paypal to paypal transaction and it didn't require me to add a credit or debit card. Do you think I can add my debit card wiothout verifying to the bank that I had linked it in my paypal?

There is Union Bank in the Philippines. But I have not gone there when I was there. And to get my myLot payments what I would do is transfer the money to my brother's Paypal account. He has an account in Union Bank so he withdraw the money from there together with my money whenever I transfer mine. There is no need for any debit card. It will ask you and just cancel it. Try it again, logon and then you will see your paypal account's already created.

Hi bluespy! What I know is that Paypal accepts Visa and Master card. So if your cash card fall on either of these two, you can use it with Paypal. I used Smart money card to verify my account, this is a Master card. However, I cannot withdraw funds from Paypal to Smart money. So I used my LBP account to withdraw my money. But if your present card will do, then of opening a bank account when you have a lot of money already in Paypal. Just see to it that your card is connected to your phone for easier transactions. Have a nice day!

I am not planning to withdraw my paypal money to a bank because I think it is costly. Besides, I am saving up to buy some thing online. I am just wondering why I had transferred money to another paypal in the previous month without asking for a debit or credit card and now that I am making another transaction, it asks a card.. Thanks for your response! I will keep that in mind.

As for the cash card, have you tried it yet? Otherwise you might just need to wait until you get your account linked with your bank before ever able to access the money there. I know it may seem like a lot of work sometimes, but you will find it well worth it in the end.

Yes, you cam add it without going to your bank, as long as you know your account number (including the routing #). You just need to be able to call them or check your bank account, so you can record the amounts of the deposits PayPal will send. Then you should be all set.

I just added my debit card last week and it all went well, mine is EON of Unionbank and Paypal asked me to verify my account by linking my debit card so i entered my debit card information and i was charged P100.00 and then after 2 days my paypal account is already verified after putting the 4-letter code they sent and the P100.00 was credited back to my paypal account, transfering your earning here to paypal and then to Eoncard, will cost you fees and charges considering the fact that what we earn here is not that much unless of course if you have many other online incomes that pays paypal, so i am also saving up my earning too because i plan to buy a gadget online using my paypal money..goodluck to both of us girl!

There are several banks that accepts Paypal. Unionbank, Banco de Oro or BPI. It depends on bank you choose. Not only banks, you can also you cellphone for Smart Money or G-cash. That is the only I can suggest. I hope you will serious applying this.

I think what you mean is, there is no Union bank branch in your area. You can apply for an eon card on the said bank and link it to Paypal. It needs verification once you have the card. There's a fee of $1.95 (P100) for the said process, don't worry it would be refunded back to you once's it's verified. Upon withdrawal, it will be automatically transferred to your account on the said bank. There are other banks that accepts Paypal too BDO, BPI and others or you can use Smart money or G-cash if you like. Mine is eon debit card from Union bank. For other banks you can try Paypal and pick the bank you like.

Thanks for sharing I don't know what you mean by 'cash-card', but i know many in Philippines who does not have credit card, they use debit card in stead, here for us , i mean my paypal and Kalyani's pay pal, we used our credit cards only, the money in dollars comes to our Indian bank account as INR automatically.
