How are your regular websites doing?

I am a member of some writing sites, and they are okay. I am on four sites that I earn for my participation, MyLot is one of them. Three of those four are having some serious problems, that includes MyLot. I am not complaining, but just pondering why suddenly every site has some glitches. I heard part of a report this morning that I think was indicating that higher usage of the internet by people on smart phones, etc. is dragging the whole thing down. I sure hope not. Wish I could have heard the whole thing, but hubby was busy on the phone and I could not concentrate. So, we know MyLot is missing notifiers and is not always updating daily, and G..... has lots of glitches and "eats comments" and S. . . . is not crediting the tickbucks like it should. I also see people post that their PTC's are not fulfilling their agreements. I guess I am wondering if this is common throughout the internet lately. I am on my way out the door to work, but promise I will be back to respond and read later on.

i must admit that lately i have been too busy for mylot so if it has any problems i havent really noticed as today is the first time i have logged on in about two weeks. I currently earn money online by taking part in online surveys and some of my regulary sites have been running slow and crashing so maybe there is a preoblem with the network.

I do not do well with surveys, but I know a lot of people who do. I had not heard that any of them were slow, but there are lots of survey sites out there. So I guess that makes sense.

I Have noticed that as well. But I have to say that it could also be bad weather. It all depends on where some of these sites are located. I doubt MyLot will go anywhere. But other sites I am not to sure. It could have a lot to do with bandwidth. And like you said more and more people are using the internet. I a sure there is going to have to upgrades on the speed of the internet. We are limited by our internet providers.

Some of it could be that too because of the mass amounts of natural disaster going on.

I've noticed quite a few glitches and problems, too, but not just on earning sites. A few regular websites seem to be having those problems. I wonder if it has anything to do with sunspots? I haven't heard about them lately.
It could have to do with new users coming online, too. It seems that every year, more people get computers for Christmas and that could clog things up until the server sizes and so on, get adjusted.
As to not fulfilling agreements, this time of year is notorious for that. Some places put their all into the holiday rush and then have to back off after paying all that and wait until funds are available again.
I don't know what the real reason is, but those are a few guesses. Let's just hope that it straightens out soon.

I have not heard anything about sunspots lately. One friend here wondered if it was related to SOPA and PIPA, but I think that was defeated. I have heard a little on TV about the increase of users on new phones and tablets. I had not thought of Christmas playing into that as well.

I have stalled doing work on any other sites for the moment. I have problem downloading videos especially youtube. But this has been there since long. myLot as you know is not sending notifications. I am able to post as usual. I do not see over-load being the cause as everything is stored in the 'sky' so to say or is it called 'cloud'?

Cloud, I think. I am not sure but the glitch lately is also similar to one on another one of my sites. I am able to post, and I can hunt for what I want here. The last two days have not updated however. The other site has had more troubles for a long time so they are not related.

Well, as for me I am not having any issues with my online sites. They are working quite normal for me. Well, I do have some problems with internet connectivity at times. But it has been a normal issue for internet connection here in our country, so I am used to having it already. As for the issues with myLot, I don't really turn on my notifications so I am not really affected by the notifiers glitches.

Well then I guess you are not missing your notifiers then. The rest of us certainly are. Glad your other sites are doing well.

Actually all earning site will experience it even for those who are stable site, there will come a time that their server can't accommodate too much traffic coming from it's member and visitors and the result is error or some glitches, they also maintain the site from time to time so that no huge problem will encounter in the future, it was like cleaning a home frequently so that members and visitors will have at ease in the home

I know that sites do sometimes have to do maintenance and increased usage cause difficulties.

I don't belong to any other websites other than myLot but I am concerned about this one too. Usually our glitches last a day, if that, or in some cases two days at the very most.
I don't know what is going on here but it does worry me that something is wrong. It seemed strange to me that they stopped updating our amounts everyday too. I can't imagine what the actual problem is and normally we can figure things out, but this is a wonderment to me right now.

I am totally mystified as well. I am disappointed that we do not get any communication about this. One of my other sites did finally suggest we check their page on facebook and they will supposedly update us there. Mylot could do that.

Hmm.. interesting thought. We've been having some glitches with the systems at work too. I wonder if maybe Y2K has hit a few years late! LOL

Some of the things that we have problems with at work on the computer at least one of my co workers is blaming on the cable company which carries her phone and our client's TV as well as our company payroll and charting.

The issues with the big orange G have been ongoing, though. They didn't just appear recently. The slow speed, glitches, low compensation and various other issues are what have driven many people away from that site; I still stop by, but I don't do the marathon sessions on there that I used to do "back in the good old days."
I am disappointed that myLot still has not ironed out the issues with the notifications. It has been a really long while now that we have not been receiving any notifications except, maybe, those for deleted discussions.
Of course, these are just two of the many sites of which I am a member. The vast majority of the sites of which I am a member are, quite thankfully, not experiencing glitches.

I heard part of a program that indicated that the increased usage of the internet by people with smart phones and netbooks and tablets is slowing some down. I think I heard that big G needs new servers and I wonder if our favorite M does as well. I have seen sites excuse their issues by saying it is the weather. I never have been overly active over there. M is my favorite. I have read some of your posts and it would be interesting to see what other sites you work on. I think we all have our niches.

I don't really have anything to compare Mylot to as this is the only site that I write on. In the five years that I have been here I have never taken the money that I have made so I would hate it to disappear. Really must get someone to make myn paypal account work. I did something wrong and am now so

I am working on 2 or three sites. I find mylot better than those. I also work on a freelancing in my area they pay better at least i am earning something than earning nothing at all. I stay awake most of my nights working on the sites. It is not easy to earn money be it real life or be it at home. I want some writing sites but i am not able to get the right one yet.

I understand about that. I have a site I write for that seems to be doing okay, but MyLot and some others are having issues with things like notifications. Are all of your sites doing okay?
