Suddenly all in one day I noticed three people on TV looked to be left handed

First there was the Progressive Insurance ad with Flo stepping out of the darkness and tossing the good driver device up and down with her left hand and then tossing it to the guy she was talking to and then I noticed her watch was on her right wrist. All these indicated that perhaps she is left handed. Then on The Price Is Right, Drew Carey pointed out that a contestant had the same Ipod like watch as he did and Drew as wearing his on his right wrist which usually indicates someone is left handed. Then on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis(played by Michelle Stafford) signed something using her left hand. It just struck me that I had never noticed that any of them appeared to be left handed and suddenly all in one day, it caught my eye for all of them.

I think its because so many people are right handed and were born right handed. I'm one of the few people that could easily name many actors that are left handed, as I write with both hands. It really surprises people to see me just switch hands when one is tired.

Are you mostly left handed or truly ambidextrous? I would have difficulty writing left handed. But there are some things that I regularly do with my left hand that would be awkward for me to do right handed. My Dad was ambidextrous about some things such as swinging an axe but I'm not so much. Left handed people seem to be more likely to be ambidextrous perhaps out of necessity since historically most people are right handed.

The Elementary School wanted me to be right handed, so I had to learn how to be right handed, then in Middle School I told them I had started learning to write as a little child left handed. Quickly learned I could write with either hand, but now write right handed more often.
