I have some tv show's dvd's, purses and other stuff to sell and I'm suspended from ebay, so I can't sell there anymore. Anyone knows of a same/similar site as ebay that is also safe and as good?

Amazon might be a good site to sell DVDs. There you set your own price and there are no listing fees. You only pay if your item sells. You also can check to see how your price compares to other peopl's prices. If you are really trying to sell an item, you can lower your price to make certain it's the lowest price which should get you a sale faster.

I've only ever listed books and videotapes there so I'm not sure about purses. If items sell, they transfer the money to your bank account. You can now also buy postage through Amazon and they give an allowance for postage in the amount they charge buyers. (What they estimate for postage is a little low.)

Why did they suspend you? I'm just curious because I'm in to ebay too however I'm a newbie there.

He said he was not able to pay USD50 as sort of fee for using the site. Try to read the thread of this post and you will be spared in asking question like that.

that really bites that you got caned from ebay. how did that happen. is the suspension permanent? i also would like to know of other auction sites like ebay. i am looking to shop my stuff at other places. i also want to know in case this one day happens to me. i know have seen some other auction sites, but most of them won't let you submit your stuff. you can only bid. i sure hope someone is able to point you in the right direction. i will check and let you know if i find anything.

thanks a lot :) they suspended my account because of oustanding payment of $50 something and I'm not paying that since I dealt with many horrible buyers and all those auctions were a waste and I don't want again to get some buyers like that, I think its time for some other site, which I hope someone can suggest. And thank you for offering to search, if you find something I'd really appreciate it :)

I know plenty like Ecrater, Bonanza, Blujay, Webstore.com, and Craigslist. Blujay, Webstore.com, Ecrater, Craigslist has zero fees. But Craiglist require you to verify your phone number before posting and you can only post in your respective country. Also there's Etsy (but that one is for handmade items/art) Amazon require you to pay a fee so that you can post your own images of the product. If you choose to use Amazon's service for free then you will have to use stock photos provided by Amazon.

I use ebid.net, the sales aren't as quick as ebay but it is another alternative

There is also Amazon.com, Etsy, Shopify. Why not set up your own store? That way you're not at the mercy of someone else shutting you down again. Here is a great blog post that may help get your started http://lifehacker.com/5796577/how-to-set-up-your-own-online-store (ps. Not a referral link)
