And AkamaruKei, I am exactly like you in here, tend to work too slow, read all comments, then think about what to write, then think about the possible reactions good or bad, then only begin the process of commenting, and this takes up a whole lot of time. Huh, we are not typing machines, these things are natural. Let's see how this turns out to be different for just one month. :D

Mavic you even made me laugh. Setting a goal is not necessarily a bad thing. Some work well by setting a goal for themselves while others just do well on the fly. I am the latter. I believe I do better when I let the day and discussions take me where they will. AkamaruKei and marquisdesade - Taking your time in myLot though actually pays off. By writing good response to each user we will reap a great reward for that. So taking your time to write a good response really is a good idea.

I think $25 per month is very hard for me. That mean i'm not going to bath, toilet, drink and eat because i work very slow here. I think i try to get $10 per month here.

I cant set my goal my friend aries because join only few days in a month. But I think everyone join mylot only for money because if mylot not pays only for one day means of due to technical problem if not increase the dail earning then everyone start the question what happen mylot is not increased my earning today.

Thanks surekharathi for commenting, but I don't think all in mylot are engaging in conversations only for money. I, for myself, was not doing that as far as I know. I have been member here for the last 5 years, and I have not yet received a single payment, yet loved to read and post comments whenever and wherever I feel so. I was doing it for the fun of it. I am still doing it for the fun of it, but with an added target which I hope, will never spoil the fun. I am doing this for a reason, and for this one month only, then again I hope I will go back to hibernation mode and post here and there according to my ever-changing mood. Hope I am not too hard to understand.

Good luck on that! I usually do not set any goals in my earning here. But I just try to be here as much as I can. There's nothing I do after having all the chores done, anyway. And this is where I enjoy most.

Well. my day starts early, as in 4am. I cook breakfast for my kids who are leaving for school at 6am. By the time they leave, I would be either doing the laundry or would be cleaning the house. Of course, this takes almost 3 hours before I could finally sit back and relax in front of my laptop.

I do wish you luck in that endeavor. myLot is an engaging site but only as engaging as you make it for yourself. $25 is possible in one month by some and perhaps it is possible for you too. I am not saying it isn't but the $10 for me is just right. In this new challenge be sure you are familiar with the Guidelines because it can be difficult struggling against deletions if you aren't careful. Some pointers I have are these: I see in the first response back you thanked the user but didn't say much else, myLot doesn't pay for those types of response. myLot only pays for engaging and furthering the discussion. Its nice to thank them but also engage a different topic in that response. Don't lose your sense of fun. Always first seek the fun and the earnings will follow guaranteed. Respond back diligently because when you're being involved you're typing more and you're earning more. There are tons more tips but thsoe are mine for you at the moment!

It is a very helpful post, thanks a lot echoforever. I will try to maintain all the things you mentioned from now on. Just I have one question, posting in one's own discussion or responding back to people doesn't increase the post number besides my picture. That is something disappointing and makes me think that it is a waste of time and effort as this gives nothing back in return while at the same time I know that it is not so. It's hard to work against your notions, and now am getting the meaning of it.

You're right in saying that it is not a waste of time. The number behind your name is just a loose based marker for how active you are in myLot. It doesn't keep track of everything we do, as you know. What it does keep track of is: If we write a discussion and get either 2 replies or one comment and one reply (even our own on that first comment). And secondly it keeps track of One comment of our own on any discussion and then a reply to someone else on that discussion. That number is not attached at all to our earnings. The star is though. Users can rate our response in myLot. It should be that a + is given for anything that is positive for myLot (not that we like it, like on facebook) A negative for anything that is poor for myLot community and if you think it does neither for myLot then do nothing.

It is attached to our earnings but no one knows how much exactly. Its best to be active and worry not of the myLot alogorythm

Much more fun that way!

echoforever you've been very helpful in this thread, so I 'rated' your responses. I didn't know that option was even there before and I still don't understand if you can earn more for it or not. If we do earn for it then I will make sure to rate good responses from now on.. perhaps just one per thread as I don't have all day, haha. I don't know if it will do anything though, I'm not sure how they calculate our earnings exactly. I suppose we don't need to worry too much, since we all get something and we can have fun at the same time. To reply to the original poster - making goals is an excellent first step in reaching them, so well done, and good luck to you! I'm new so I don't know how much we could earn per month, but other people have said they're able to make that much, so it sounds like you have a good chance of reaching your goals.

Well, overall, in all the time I have been a member here, I feel there is nothing really I need to prove to anyone. So it may take me a while to earn here my $10 but I do earn it, and continue to get paid. To set a goal like that and not be able to reach it, may leave you feeling frustrated and disappointed when you do not. But remember it is quality over quantity that counts, and to earn that type of money will never be easy, but can be done. Just come here, enjoy and have Fun, and see what happens. When you remember to focus on the Fun more than the money great things continue to happen for sure.

Thanks KrauseHome. I will be focusing more on fun, and less on money. I will be looking at the quality part of my posts too. Hope the target will be met. But, I won't be disappointed or vanished from mylot ever. I did not in 5 years, and I won't do it in future too. I will come back often and enjoy my time, whenever I have free time.

It is great to set goals as it keeps us focused. I agree that mylot is more fun than for earning, as I feel the same way, but I haven't always felt that way, as when I first started, it was for the money. I soon realized that having fun in here and learning from other is my ultimate goal. Of course, the earnings are great too, even though they are very small. I don't make payout every month, as it usually taks me two months to make it, but that is okay, as like I said, I am here more for the fun anyway. I also think though the fact we do get paid, does give others an incentive to want to be here. It is a really nice incentive that is for sure. Take care, and have a very good day.

The more you forget about earning and focus on doing a great job, the more you are paid in return. It's true everywhere, in every career I know. She wants me to know the nature of my work and I can't tell her and so, I try to prove myself by being active here on myLot but, well, I failed. If I earn that kind amount of money, I would tell my best friend about the site I am working, but because I failed to prove it to her, well, every time she asked me about work, I just said I do not have a job yet. I am still looking, he he

In my opinion targeting earnings of $25 per month from MyLot isn't be easy at all, especially in this month itself. If you get enough active referrals that target isn't impossible. However work with high target can enhance present earnings tempo a lot. Good luck!

Personally, I think if he is doing nothing, here is a good place to engage in conversations, and if it gives back, who can complain? It's a great deal!

Let me tell you that I love it here and agree with marquisdesade's statement! myLot is the best forum on the net for sure and it gives back in so many ways. Friendships being fist on the list, fun, interaction and then the huge bonus of real money. You can not beat all of that.

The maximum amount I have earned here is just 18 dollars. But it is possible to earn $25, but you've gotta be really active here commenting and responding on discussions. Well, goodlucj to you and hope that you attain such and prove to that someone that you can do it.

Hi marquisdesade. Well I totally agree with you. Even if making money online is not the intention with which I come oneline on mylot but it is kind of motivating and directing. I am not sure if 25$ can be reached but I usually keep targets of 10 or 15 per month and achieve them. Anyways it is something that depends from person to person. Have a nice day !!

Making a target here is very good but for earning $25 per month,one have to struggle a lot.First of all start new discussions on daily basis and comment back to all of them and as well keep responding to other discussions.Do some tasks and use mylot search engine.And refer other members here.But you have set a target of $25 per month here and i am with you.

I know it's a disadvantage, but I don't have anyone to fit the role yet, maybe one after this month, I don't know.

Yes,making referrals are very difficult task.And if can manage to get referrals,we cannot say exactly that they will be active or not.So it is better to do other activities like posting,responding and continuing what we are doing now in mylot.

MyLot has never been an earning site for me to be very true. But yes in your case even I would have done the same to show that there are sites like this where we can earn howsoever slowly we do that. MyLot provides us a platform to discuss(and sometimes fight as I essentially came to know from my recent most discussion). It has numerous benefits but to a bit of its demerit they can only be experienced and can never be expressed. And hence we are able to appreciate myLot more than those who are not using it and for them this merely remains a money earning site. There are two reasons I do not think about earning when I use myLot. First, there are many more advantages than mere money when you speak your mind at such a platform. Second, you do not get money here for anything you do. You should be good in your content and that somehow or the other reduces the pace of your earning at times. Hence if you are only here for money, you would soon get demotivated seeing the pace at which you earn and eventually opt out.

Well,i definitely wish you luck.I have not even made my first payout and hopefully i can get this month and there are things i am learning and exploring about mylot.But then i would like to caution you something my friend.Doing something just for sake of money and without passion will result only in short term gains.In long run, you may not continue it even to a small extent.I agree that it will be a rigious job.And if you are not careful the quality of the posts could suffer impacting many things.You may even stop mylotting totally.For proving something, you may do something.But then on long run, keep a target which is realistic. You need to take care of quality and the discussions you do in mylot.That would help you in long run.Even if its just for earnings.I do keep a small target of posts per day at this point of time.Its helping me to limit my time for things in mylot.I am able to put quality things in mylot and also its helping me as well.I wish you good luck with your challenege. Do not run away from the challenge. Keep that in mind all the time.And also let us know what the result was.Thanks!

Maybe that takes time, and time is important for this type of goal to be achieved, but to achieve something I want in return for something people hate is not my idea. Definitely you can prove that as I know several members here which earns that much. But you have to work hard for sure and remember its a February so you have 2 days less than a normal month to achieve that target. So just concentrate on your target and put some real efforts to achieve it and surely you can do it. I hope you will be able to show him proof that will change his thinking about online earning and who knows he might signup under you. Best of Luck
