Hope is a strange poison....Do u agree with me??

we frequently use the word 'hope' as a positive thinking but what i feel is,hope is a strange poison.what is our motive in having hope?Doesn't hope imply being unsatisfied with the present and wanting a better tomorrow?well,one can say what is wrong with that?
we are really strange people!we won't find beauty here,it would always be there!we won't see the commonest things of life,yet we hope to visualize the mysterious and hidden!All the time,the gap between what we are and what we want to be will remain for we have an 'idea' of better and this idea originated when we were miserable and confused and so the idea will remain confused and yet we will seem to be moving from this state to another,always struggling,always in effort and just going and going and yet never arriving!
If we let go of the present,we lost the game.

I wish to agree with you, but I think HOPE was positioned in a wrong place here. Not always, our days are satisfactory. There are so many times that no matter how wonderfully we planned the day it always falls on the wrong side, making it worse and making it unsatisfactory. Many factors are causing these internally and externally. Sometimes brought about by other people, sometimes, nature. Many factors may disrupt the balance of life.
There is nothing wrong for wanting a better tomorrow, who would want a worse tomorrow? Isn't that the reason why we strive hard and work, so that we will have better tomorrow?
Just a little humor here.

I think hope is something that gives people something to live for. Without hope people would be lost and in such a bad place that they can think life is not worth living. It pushes people to live. Having a life without hope is no life at all. Everyone in this world has gone through and will go through tough times, but hope is what makes all the difference. Having hope does not mean having an unsatisfied life, having hope means you are still alive and want to live.

We have to hope, without hope there is surely despair, hope makes us move on, and to expect better things, hope is a positive frame of mind, I agree it is strange because all our hopes are not accomplished and therefore we can be left disappointed, but hope is being optimistic rather than pessimistic. Hope is seeing the glass half full rather than half empty. Welcome to Mylot, great discussion thank you.

I don't think that hope is a strong poison but more of a cornerstone. So many people carry on with their life without anything else just because they still have hope left. Just because we have hope of doing something doesn't mean that we aren't satisfied with the current situation. I think that we should all have aspirations to try and better our situation and the world.
Some people may not be able to carry on without the power of hope to keep them going on. When times are tough and you feel like you are struggling it is your hopes and dreams that keeps you going. Hope is not a poison but more of a medicine that helps strengthen us and pick us up when we feel weak.

A pleasant night to you mave. Well that is your point of view and here is mine. I guess a person without hope is sad an depressed. The only thing that life is still thriving and standing is because of hope/faith. I could tell, that each of us will really undergo problems and trials in our life. Good for you if you haven't experienced it yet. For a person who is struggling the only light that makes her anticipate tomorrow is hope that life will change for the bestter and good things will come his way. That is hope.

in my personal view that hope is just the same like praying for god. I have the faith to the god but just why don't have the faith you and I will succes to whatsoever are doing.

i think hope is a good thing to have.Its normal that people always want better from life and always have certain expectations from their life. Hope motivates them and helps them putting the effort in reaching their goals.I agree with the fact that expectations from life never stops,you reach you goal today and you are going to set a new one tomorrow.Its a good thing to always wanting a better tomorrow and working hard for it. I think its the journey that counts but not the destination.
