I am going to plan my trip over the next few days so I will be able to book on Tuesday the Euro Star train from London to Brussels or London to Lille. I hope our day of departure will be in late May a few days before the start of half term. Then I can book the overnight train from Amsterdam to Prague. Next I can book the accommodation in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland and Ukraine. This evening I will be looking at train times and likely prices ready for booking my trip. Due to my home country charging loads for early morning departures I won't be able to leave my local station until 0759. This will be a complicated trip to arrange since it is many train rides and many different accommodations. Tell me about how easy booking a journey has been for you? Did you use the phone, Internet or book face to face? What sorts of accommodation do you like?

Here in India, those who have access to the internet and e-banking prefer it for booking train/flight tickets, as well as accommodation when planning a vacation. It is easier that way. The airport is really at the outskirts of the city so its impractical to go there just for the purpose of buying tickets. There are many train reservation counters spread throughout the city but they are all crowded.

We are so lucky the ones of us that have the Internet and can do on-line booking. It is a shame that the trains are very busy. There seem to be many accommodation booking sites.

In the past (before the internet) I booked my tickets via a travel agency, but today I always use the internet. I am very happy that we are able to find timetables and other kinds of information online. At first I do some research on the internet. I look at the different options and make a decision about the best type of transportation. Sometimes I combine different kinds of transportation, and it takes a while to find the information that I need and compare the different types of transportation. When I have booked the plane tickets, train tickets etc I start looking at the available types of accomodation. I try to find budget accomodation and in past I have stayed in hostels, guesthouses, hotels, bed and breakfast and in a tent. I am not picky, as long as I am able to travel I am more than happy

For booking an around the journey like I did in 1993 it was a complicated journey with many flights. I went in person to the specialist travel agency. We are so lucky that we now have the Internet. I like the way you seem so flexible about your accommodation. You are not so picky and have stayed in lots of different types of accomodation. I imagine it won't be long before you plan your next trip.

When booking accommodation I much prefer to do it face to face, I am not very good on the phone and don't like doing it on line, one of my ex's used to do all the booking they would do it on-line. When I went to Rhodes on my own I went into a travel agency and had a nice young girl to deal with my enquiries and book my tickets for me so all the hassle was taken out of my hands.

Although I normally book online, I hate doing so. The whole thing invariably stops working half way through the process!

It is a shame when the booking service stops half way through. I plan to use a German Railway company and Euro Star to book most of my trip. Good luck booking your next trip.
