uniform skirt so short

We have our new set of uniform. Some of us have it in skirts and other have it in pants.
One single lady employee though, shocked us when we saw her uniform skirt so short. Our general manager saw her and told the HR to tell her to at least lower the hem to a decent length. Or she can use stockings to at least cover her legs so bare.
She was at least receptive and said she will.
What's your opinion on this guys?

i'm glad you're allowed to choose pants or skirt because i would choose pants. i'm not really comfortable commuting in pencil-cut skirts. i did wear skirts to work, but they were long, A-line, soft and light material. very breezy. hehehe.
hopefully, there is enough cloth left to elongate the hem. but i think your hr should have provided specific instructions on the length to be followed when it was awarded to the contractor.

Yes, we have to consider each and everyone's preference.
I particularly have that in mind, because one of our female employees, have polio so she has one leg so thin. So, i let everyone choose what they prefer,
That's the fault of the HR actually. They weren't able to tell the sewer the limitation of how short the skirt should be.

I find it real crazy for women to be working with such short length skirts while on work. How can they move properly if their movement is limited?
I think that all uniform skirts should be kept at least knee-length.

Mini skirts could be great on her. But she needs to uphold company values by making herself look descent and presentable coz anything that the employees do reflects the company itself.

At least she was open to the idea of her lowering the hem of her skirt. I wonder if the uniform isn't being given to the employees by only one maker
When I worked for this hospital and we had uniforms we were obliged to get it from one maker only and someone would get our measurements. There is always a standard length to be skirt most especially.

The lapse of the HR is that they didn't tell the sewer how short should the skirt be.
But it's really nice that the said woman employee was receptive to the HR's suggestion.

Hahha I am sure the guys didn't mind. I think she didn't intend to do it. She probably thought shorter looks sexier on her. But it wasn't really appropriate and comfortable for an office setting.

on the contrary, she's like that. Her skirts are so short, to show off her long skinny legs.
But this time, because it's a uniform, she wasn't permitted. Good thing she complied.

Thanks for sharing
Too much exposure is not good for women, you might have read my discussion.
Can she ask to pay cost of dress or some consolidated amount using which she can buy of right size, if necessary she will add some amount

No she doesn't have to do that , professor, in order that her skirt will be lengthened a bit.
She just have to submit it for repair when the sewer comes back to return the uniforms given to her for repair last week.

Maybe she was absent when the rules of skirt length was given or she was in the toilet and didn't hear it
, just kidding. There's always this one who will be different in a group and she's that person I guess. Besides, women always wanted to feel sexy so I understand her, stockings would look great and decent with that.

One can look sexy even if the skirt is not so short. I think, she just would like to compensate the loss of a beautiful body with her just long skinny legs.

It is so very easy for some women to show of their body... to the point that other women find it offensive but men think otherwise... is you co worker single? if she is married... i don't think her husband would approve of wearing very short skirt to work...
Well, it is a good thing that she will at least lower the length... it is either to comply or be the but of indecent jokes among men... or gossip... or be given a memo by the HR...

SHe's a single parent to her 2 year old son. SHe's seeing a new boyfriend now.
Yes, she said she will comply. I think she knows the consequence of not abiding by the uniform policy which is for skirts should be at the maximum, 2 inches above the knee.

Well, it's possible this woman wanted a short skirt to make herself sexier? But at least when told, she listened.
It's not professional looking when we wear something inappropriate.

Actually, this particular employee is with the Marketing Department. So, we permit her to dress a bit sexy but still with a corporate look, but we don't have a uniform then.
But now that we already have a uniform, i think it should be worn decently by everybody.
Well, you can still be sexy even if you are fully clothed , right aja?

At least she took the request from the HR seriously and she complied. I think in a professional company, a dress code must be observed. We are there after all to work and represent the company. Short skirts can be worn in parties, like when the company holds some gig or some out-of-the-office celebrations. Aside from the decent issue, short skirts make moving around difficult, like when you need to take a file folder from the lowest drawer, short skirts make it hard to stoop down and since it is short I am sure that the wearer will struggle with her hands to tug the hem so it will not hike too high up.

I totally agree with you Raine. There's an avenue for wearing sexy clothes, much more mini skirts. Certainly, the office is not one of them, specially that there are a lot of male employees.
But i am glad, she's receptive to what was advised to her by HR.
