Hiding money on yourself?

I use to do this as a kid, a few months back I had put $20 away for a stool step type for Marco to get on my bed. He jumps, and sometimes misses then clings on to the side of the bed, and he put a whole in my sheets. These are hand made by a local lady, and she messaged me to pick it up tonight. I put this $20 away frrom petsitting a few months back. I do this, and forget where I put it. I told my old coworker where I stuck it. I was ripping the place apart, and was talking to her, and she laughs goes check here, there it was (I would never of found it). In the summer I found about $1,000 taped to my dresser (I had put this there when I was 14 and was babysitting), It paid part of my car insurance for the year.

this is great news. i wish i had done the same thing, but i would need a bigger plae to be able to successfully hide the money. otherwise, i would find those and struggle with the temptations to use them and buy stuffs. i congratulate you for effectively hiding those money all these years. you have excellent and strong self-control for financial and material urges.

You need a system so that you know how to find out where you put it. I wish I had $1400 put away somewhere. It would be great. I am glad you had a friend you could tell. I used to cash my checks and put money in various envelopes. I did not hide them from myself. I actually had a box that envelopes came in and I labeled them all and what went in an envelope was only for that purpose. It was a great way to budget at that time.

I use to hide it as my older brother would steal anything he could find, then deny it. I will never trust him, he would pawn anything he could find as well. I use to hide it as at the time I never had a bank account.

I used to hide money around my room when I was a teenager. It never ended up adding up to a lot, because every few months, i would take it all to the bank. Now I don't hide money because I would definitely forget where I had hidden it and just never find it.

Maybe you should do a thorough search of the premises, sometime when no one else is home... You may have your down payment just sitting there. But a thousand bucks from babysitting? Wow! Just think what it might be if you had put it in a term deposit.

I actually have been cleaning everything out, found a few jars of coinage worth $75.00. You can tell how often I clean can you, I rarely move furntiture around or I walk into it at night. I am going for my closet next. I am more trying to declutter everything.

I had piggy banks, and I'd hide money in my drawers, but that's about it. My sister used to hide money in the vent. There was a part of the carpet that pulled up from the vent in her room and she'd hide money there. A good place to hide it.

That is an interesting spot to hide it. I use to have a few piggy banks, I don't tend to pay in cash so I don't have any change.

I have done this myself. Including on forgetting where I put it. But my husband was the worst about it. He told me he hid 1500 dollars in a speaker. Then gave the speakers away to a buddy. When he finally remembered it and went to see his buddy. His buddy had thrown them out. My hubby asked if he every looked in the speaker and he said no and thats when he told him about the money he put in them. All I could do was laugh at the situation. I asked my hubby what was he going to do ask for the money back and he said no he was gonna tell his buddy to look into the speaker. And it would be up to his buddy if he would give back the money.

That is actually pretty funny, and sad he was out that much money. I don't normally throw things out, so I don't need to worry.

I wish there was some money hiding around my house that I could find. I never seem to have enough money to have some that I could afford to hide until some later date. I did find $5 in my ash tray a few weeks ago, but I ended up giving it to a homeless guy.

My mom used to put her money in a red box and hide it somewhere in her room. I don't know if she was trying to purposedly trying to hide it or not but one time she had a car accident and needed money to fix up the car and I saw her rummaging around in our room for the red box. I don't follow that tradition since I like to know where my money is but its a tradition that does wonders for some people.

I have tucked $20 away in my visor or my console of my car for emergencies. I've generally kept any other money I have in a bank account, Piggy bank or a Chocolate tin. On occasion I've found 10 to 20 dollars in a pair of pants i hadnt worn in ages or a jacket pocket.
