I would like to ask all of you, because my discussion yesterday removed by admin, because of my fault. and my question is
1. I got a response from someone comments, if I answer with 10-15 characters, allowed or not?
2. Can I discuss the code, script, syntax a program in the discussion?
please help me, because I want to really understand the rules in this MyLot

Check your email and you will find that there is a notification from myLot with the reason for the deletion.
There is no minimum for the number of characters in a response.
To understand the rules please read the guidelines:
http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

I have never heard of such thing. Getting notifications from Mylot would surely help you in getting on track with the responses to your discussion as well as if the discussion maker of the post which you has responded has responded back to you and also you will know if your friends ave started a discussion. So, I suggest thhat you enable it to maximize your Mylot experience.

1. From my limited understanding answering questions should contain a reasonable amount of words to complete the thoughts and promote discussion. Very short word answers except for specific reasons are discouraged. The guidelines are just that guidelines to follow and we should make an effort to do so.
2. You do absolutely need to stay away from mylot script and algorithms, they are not to be discussed for obvious reasons. Discussion of scripts such as JavaScript for example in computer type questions would not be a problem.
Not sure why your discussion got deleted but everyone has experienced it I think at one time or another. If you can find out why so not to repeat the same thing that is great but try not to take it personal for it is just part of how mylot functions. Some discussions get removed others stay. Hope this answered your questions somewhat, happy mylotting.

hi I know ypu all get tired of hearing this but in the guidelines it tells you how to make discussions and the how tos and the do nots so why just guess at what breaks the rules when the information is there for you to read. if you can read other discussions you can easily read the guidelines too and the FAQ's too.If you are educated in how to make discussions and what breaks the rules you will be able to make good discussions.as for some that have broke rules but are still standing we are told to report them to the admins as they ask us to help as they cannot always get all around. You would not be a rat fink for reporting guidelines violations as it is in the guidelines that the admins wants our help in getting rid of thosr discussions that violate the guidelines.

Me understand that it is not always cut and dry, black and white and that sometimes mistakes do happen. All we can do is try to learn and carry on.
Just one point respectfully I am not in support in members saying “these are the rules”.
1. At the end of the day it is the admin that makes the rules and enforces them and in my opinion that is the way it should be.
2. I can not find ‘rules’, I can only find FAQ’s and guidelines and think it is important to make that distinction.

hi ayano look if you w ih to make discussions that will not get deleted you must read the guidelines and the dos and do nots of making discussions. As for commenting on a response you get to your discussion you can use as many words as you think necessary to explain your input but just use English I really do not understand what you mean by code.script, syntax. Your comment to the responses should only pertain to the response you got nothing else.I think You need to leave out code, script, syntax as this is not an English
class and many ,my self included. would not really know what you are talking about.

Just what Hatley has said, you should check on the discussion guidelines for you to know what kind of discussions are allowed to be post.
Make it as interesting as possible so that a lot would respond to it.

Actually this is not at all the case. There is nothing in the guidelines prohibiting a discussion from looking like a question. As long as it isn't an outright poll (such as what is your favorite ice cream?).

welcome to mylot! =) It is great that you would want to abide by the posting rules as possible. I guess your discussion that was deleted did violate one of mylot's rules - i think it does happen sometimes especially if you had created a repeat discussion, or if the discussion simply just don't make sense, or if you would promote a personal website (created as a discussion).
Other's deleted because they responded to a discussion that was deleted, so obviously the whole discussion plus the comments gets deleted too.
As far as i know, mylot did not impose its members to reply with a certain number of words at a minimum.. but even without that in place, you can see a lot of members actually do not just post for the sake of earning additional number of posts, or to earn but we are mostly here now to share and be part of the community. :D
As for the questions you have, i believe other mylot members have already responded to you ;) so cheers!

yeah, I understand now, but what about the user account is disabled for 3 months, what can you explain why it happened?
if we do not respond to discussions that we have created or to comment on other people's comments, it does not violate the existing rules, right?

Hi, and welcome. I removed your discussion by mistake, my apologies for that. It is restored. To answer your question, try to make your answers as elaborate and detailed as possible. And yes, the topic you propose would be perfectly acceptable.

I apologize to you, maybe I got the error, but could you explain a disabled account for 3 months, it's because of a problem and breaking any rules?
I want to know directly from you, so I understand, because a lot of my friends are just a few days they stop and get out of MyLot, because it is disabled for 3 bulan.dan strangely no one notices their mistakes.
sorry if my explanation and questions swirling, but I'm trying to explain to you, in order to avoid the error says.
