My Laptop has now shown signs of giving up. =( I do not know why this is so, but ii have not noticed anything prior to it happening and now my Laptop would just die down (the screen). I have turned off all hibernate settings, i have selected the keep the screen and the hard drive on at all times, and I have no screen savers. I have not put my laptop on standby mode as well...
But every so often, the screen would "refresh", while typing or browsing the net, it would turn black and go back to the screen as it was... but some times it would never return and the screen would be black for like a couple of minutes. All lights indicating it is on is lit up so I would just wait and the screen would turn up again and I can resume whatever I was doing.
I do not know what this is, and why this is happening... any one had the same thing happening to them? I would let my friend look into it, but i am hoping I can first see it from all of you if you guys knew or has this happened to you before.
Thank you in advance! =)

Are you using the battery only or it is connected to the power supply? It happened to me when I have problems with my battery or power supply.

Thanks for this discussion
You might have read my discussion about my laptop, the screen flickers and suddenly becomes pink, some times it is normal too; i called one mechanic he said he will keep it for 7 days for repair, the cost may be 200 to 10,000 rupees; so i denied, my son is computer engineer, he has sales and service business too, so once i am back home on 6th march ; i will get it done.
You can contact the service center in your city

Well there can be many reason for that actually. But you can check the cable connector from the LCD/LED display to the main-board. If you travels a lot and used to open and close the laptop lid a lot it tends to loosen the connector or it's simply wear out.
Also you can check if you install any new programs recently or updates any driver whatsoever it's. If you still can't the solution then perhaps you must check the LCD it self. Because they had life-span as well. Cheers.
