i have read this on a website and i agree that Traveling is an education. I want to ask you guys that do you agree with this statement or not. plz share at least one positive thing in your life that you have learn through traveling. I learned to help others through traveling, i was in trouble during my traveling in my country and a stranger man helped me so much. when we was departing he said give me a reward of my help and i asked what can i do for you. He said always try to help others and whenever you will help some one around you that help will be my reward. His words inspired me so much. I think this the biggest lesson i have learnt through traveling. share yours.

I just returned from my first cruise. There were some high moments and some lows. I am very glad that I went. Just by taking a cruise, I have learned a great deal about cruising. I plan to write about it. I went to St. Maarten and St. Thomas in the Caribbean. I had never been to the Caribbean before. One thing that I learned from my trip is that both St. Maarten and St. Thomas are great places to buy jewelry and watches. I am talking about expensive jewelry, not costume or fashion jewelry. You do not have to pay taxes or duty. If a piece of jewelry sells for $1,000 in the states, you can buy if for much less in St. Thomas or St. Maarten. I did not know that people go to these islands just to buy jewelry and watches.

Unfortunately, I am not close by. I live in Central Texas and had to fly to Miami to cruise. I made a real vacation out of it. I spent three days in Miami before my cruise. I wish that i did live in a port city and could cruise more often.

Many many indians and pakis wants to travel to each other but some political disputes are the biggest hurdle. Lets pray that all this will end soon and we can enjoy more traveling and fun. I have learned many things through travelling. The most important thing is the kindness and helpfulness of complete strangers. A lot of strangers have helped me during my trips and I was often touched by their kindness. Last year I visited Thailand and many of the locals were very helpful and friendly. When I worked in Poland for a while I also experienced a lot of kindness. A young couple gave me a lift to the bus station and wrote a note that I could give to the driver (I didn't speak Polish) They also gave me their phonenumber and offered to show me around in the town and help me learn the Polish language. I was a stranger, but they did so much to help me and I have never forgotten their kindness. When I meet foreigners in my own country I try to help them the same way.

That is the part which is attracts me so much in traveling as i have described above i have learn to help others. I love to meet strangers and get mixed up with them and to talk with them in the international language of humanity and love. That is the essence of my whole experience. Keep spreading love and kindness in the world. thanks for sharing your story here. happy mylot.

When I was a child, my parents and I travelled in the summer holidays to other countries. Some holidays, we spent in Sweden and in Norway. I remember one holiday in Norway, we travelled there with our caravan and stayed on a camping. We spent a beautiful time over there. At that time, I was about elven or twelve years old and I remember some norwegian children on that place. Of course, we didn't speak the same language, but even though we had no problems to understand ourselves and we played together all the time. When I was fourteen, we went with the car from Germany to Spain to spend our holidays over there and used the same way back again. On the way back, near by Madrid, there was a young man doing autostop. He was on the way back to England and my parents decided to take him with us. During two or three days, he travelled with us in the car and went his own way near by Paris. That time I practised my English. He told us that in England, he worked as a gardener during the summer time and saved some money and during winter time, he liked to travel all over the world. At that time, he was allone and all he needed he carried in a bag on his shoulders. It was a pritty time for him to know new places and people from all over the world. During a time, we wrote us some letters. Until today, I still remember his name. I think it must be nice to live like that.

I couldn't agree more,to travel means we can have opportunities to see outside world and learn different culture behind it.This will also change my value towards life.So i appreciate every chance for me to go somewhere. Thanks for this topic and i indeed learned a lot from different time.

I also agree with it but do think it's personal as well. Plenty of people do travel just to misbehave abroad as well. Exposing themselves as a complety different person. I doubt this is a way to educate oneself.

traveling increase our knowlege and feelings about so many things. even when we travel with a friend that is the time to understand so many things about nature of that person. how much more travel, we get more knowlege, how much more knowlege we get more humanity. how much more humanity in the world, we get more happiness.

Well I think it's depend on where you are traveling too. But of course by travelling we can always at least broaden our knowledge by knowing more places, peoples we meets and their way of life. We could also find new business opportunity if it's the kind of travels you are targeting. For more artists travelling mean broaden their horizon and adding library to their tastes. As for my self travelling could help me relax and found a new point of view in life.
