My friend and I were close. We laughed a loud at some topics that comes on our way after class. When at class, he teaches us well but in his all examination I failed. I admit I don't study well and I lack of effort to solve his problem given. Now we're on final season and I less seeing my friend at school now a days. Ashamed to see him because all his exams I failed. Just don't know for now if I still have the courage to talk to my friend.

If your teacher is your friend, why not ask help with the subject that you are failing. I am sure that with that help you will be able to ace your exams next time.

Actually my friend is very open to offer help. But it was me avoiding him. I don't talk much relating class matters. I have classmates also looking at us so I avoid them thinking I am favored compared to them.

I know that it would also cross your mind. But you need help. I don't think you would sacrifice your studies with that reason of avoiding people to think that you might be favored by your teacher-friend.

In my university, the failure of exam is common. But students don't mind the marks in the past.Instead, they will study harder and try to get a great progress. The change in study will be the best gift to them and teachers. So I think you needn't have been too ashamed.

It's nice but very embarrassing to give your friend a failing grades. It will show you are not learning from him.

Is your friend senior than you?I think,he is,otherwise how can he be your teacher. It doesn't matter whether you passed in his subjects. After all he is your friend, you may ask him to explain to you everything you have not understood.I am sure he would help you, because you are his friend. And,from your post,I guess, you both are intimate friends.By the way, would you please tell me why you think you don't have the courage to talk to him?

LOL. He is senior actually. He is a family close friend that's why we became friends. Before I enrolled, actually he was my adviser what subjects to get. He helped me all the way just to get enrolled. And he told me that he maybe my teacher on other subjects and he really was. And now I am less seeing him because of my failures.

Seems to be a knowledgeable man.He has been a close family friend. This is a golden chance for you.Don't delay to see him and let him help clear your doubts. If I were you,I would do exactly that.Don't miss the chance. It's really a godsend one.

I had a student who is my friend as in one of the gangs. now when we see each other to gathering he always call me "ma'am" and he is very proud to tell every one that I became his college professor. ewwwww....

Wow! Good for you ma'am that you stay friends with your students. Actually am very much proud that I was under him. It's just that I am not proud of the result I am giving my friend. Hope to regain my courage to make him proud at least. To get high grades is good to let him know that I am learned from him.

yes, that's good for you. and for sure he doesn't mind at all. Good thing he did not pass you because you are "friends" In my case, we were classmates in high school and we belong to a circle of friends. hahaha that's why when he saw me as his professor.. his eyes widened in surprise. I was surprised myself too.

My classmates used to say that I am lucky that we are friends. Easy for us to ask favor but for me it's a struggle actually to approach him when class related matters. But when outside, I am very confident talking to him.

Hi wendylb. Well you should not feel ashamed if he is your friend. I am pretty sure that he will understand you. In fact I believe he is the best person to help you out with your studies. So dont hesitate and talk to him openly like you always did. Anyways have a nice day ... SuperShames

Oh you don't have to feel ashamed, because as students, we are not perfect, and we are allowed to make mistakes, no matter the teacher is our friend or not. In this case you should put up your mind and try to work harder on your studies, turn the guilt into motivation. Your friend will be very happy if you really take efforts, be the result good or bad. If you need to talk to your friend, choose a proper time and ask for some suggestions on your study, and I'm sure your friend will NOT discriminate or look down upon you at all. Relax, it's no big deal!:D

Thank you very much for the encouragement my friend. Am on way preparing for our exam again on Sunday. Hope he will be happy at least of my efforts. What am afraid at first is my friend maybe expecting much at me and I showed him none. A lot of sighing now hoping he will not look me down.

it is so enjoyable to be with friends and laught but everything has time and limit. you should make time for your study as well, and being with friends too. so try to make a programl for your study, and some time to be with your friends.

Go talk to your friend. If the person is your true friend, then your failures will not come in between or even dent your friendship. He may already be helping you and if not for his help, you would have been worse off. Maybe this last season you can try harder along with his help and finally pass this time. Try it, just a gift to your friendship.
