While going to work everyday, what I noticed is that there are some parts along the way wherein there are just few trees around that sometimes are just counted by my fingers especially places that is quite near the metro.Due to some establishments and subdivisions around.Well there are still trees around them but quite few to accommodate waters once continuous heavy rain falls that my result to something bad such as flood. Good thing in my hometown, there are still so many trees around. In fact our house where surrounded by trees that somehow help as shed from the sun, make the atmosphere at night cold and gives a nice feeling of being so near to nature. How bout in your place, are there still trees around?

Hi Ardoy. You are so right there are people without thinking are cutting down the trees for other use and some cut them down and let them sit and rot on the ground. I thank God we have several trees here on our property. We buy a fruit tree once a year to plant in our yard so we can one day have apples and cherries to eat and can. People are taking down trees on farms around us and we have seen them just cut down and left to rot or pushed into what they call a dozer deck which means they will just burn them where they put them. This makes me so mad they could cut them up for fire wood and make a little money from selling them to people that don't cut their own fire wood.

Hi Ardoy and Hopefull and welcome to my lot. We have planted a couple of apple cherry peach and planning on planting a pear tree next year this year we are going to get another apple tree to plant near an Arkansas black apple, we didn't know it but a friend told us that the Arkansas needed to be near a sweet apple tree to ppollinate so we need to do this year. We planted it a couple years ago and it will bare fruit next year. Our peach tree bare fruit for the first time last year but we had a drought and last year and the fruit didn't mature so we got nothing. Wish we could grow mango and all the kinds of trees you grow in your country but this is not a good place to grow stuff like that. We can't even grow orange trees here because of the winter months. Never heard of cherry apples trees not in this area.

Yeah there are some who cut trees for a living which is quite sad since some do it illegally. Glad to know that you do have trees around and planting fruit trees every now and then which are really useful and beneficial once those trees bear fruits. We do have fruits trees around our house just like mango, tamarind, coconut, guava and some local fruit trees here in our country.

I am interested in your planting different fruit trees together. Will you be getting cherry apples? Maybe that is how the cherry apples got started.

I live in northern Michigan and there are definitely still a lot of tress left around here but there seems to be more and more development happening in my town. I luckily have trees all around my house and there are also some good woods near my house to walk around in and explore. It's really nice to have forest near your house because it's just such nicer scenery to go for a run or go for a walk in the woods. I'm moving to Washington though at the end of the summer and I'm hoping that the area I move to there will be some nice forests around for me to explore. I'm actually pretty excited about it because I know that there is a huge national state park there near the place I'm moving in Kenmore that sounds really great to go and visit.

Laurenlynn that is totally awesome that you have a black walnut tree in your front yard. I absolutely love walnuts and I haven't tried black walnuts yet but they look really good. Do you ever harvest the black walnuts that fall in your yard? Do you like the taste of them as well? I can't wait to move to Washington because I know that there is a state park that has like over three hundred acres in it with lots of wildlife there as well.

It seems that you really have a nice nature environment in your current place and I do hope that if you already move in by summer in Washington, there will be same green nature to have around just like what you have now. Developers should also consider the rehabilitation and conservation of the trees or nature around the place that they will develop. Its really nice to have some nearby forest along our place to explore.

Yes I too am lucky there are many trees around my area. I have a huge black walnut tree in my front yard it makes a great shade tree in summer but look out in the fall as the walnuts fall and they hit my roof and make me and my Dogs jump. I could not imagine living where there are no trees,to me trees are part of nature and we are lucky to have them and should never take them for granted!

I live in very beautiful country and almost everywhere you travel around city you will see trees, trees. But, what I have noticed lately places where are a lot of factories there are no more trees. Many companies just cut off them to build another factory or house complex. I at least can be proud of my little town where we have trees in each step and my garden too is rounded with trees what makes a special feeling in hot summers and in some family events.

That nice to know that there are still many trees in your place. Those company and developers who build and develop nature into establishments. I think they still have to take care those trees cause it could also help in establishments that they are building. We have to balance and even give and take since all of us here like trees do have connection and help to each and everyone.

Luckily, in the subdivision where we reside, there are still lots of trees around us. That's because we are in phase 3 of the subdivision, where it isn't that developed yet and we are just 5 families in that area. Thus we are , specially us, have trees on our front part, east side (our bedroom) and at the back. Everyday, as i look up our bedroom's window i can see the birds perched up on various trees , while chirping.

Thats great that there are still trees in your subdivision which means that your developer really care about our nature. It nice to see green trees and hear birds chirping and playing around the trees. But still there are some people who dont care at all and keep on cutting and cutting illegally.

that's really nice this is my very reason why I don't want to settle in the city. As for the trees around your home in your hometown I just read that a house with a tree nearby it can conserve more energy and electricty, just like you mention I assume that you didn't use aircon in your room

Definitely yes, we dont use aircon since it doesnt matter and needed. The wind and the trees around helps to make the atmosphere and surrounding feel cool and minimize the hotness during summer. It even shed the heat of the sun during freaking hot afternoon. It also give shelter to birds wherein we could see them playing and chirping. We really have to take care of our trees before its too late.

There are still trees around my home but the latest cut tree is just in front of my bedroom window. I immediately noticed the change of temperature when they cut it down. They needed to cut because they are constructing a house there. In the afternoon, I noticed that it because really sticky humid! I never experienced this one before (the time when the tree was still there), now I am feeling all sorts of hot weather and I'm not liking it a bit. Further, it's too bright! I needed to double my curtains on that side and the wind blows hot air inside instead of the fresh air I used to have. It's sad really. But I have no choice. I just hope that soon my little pot plants are going to become taller so that it could cover my windows again. Whew! A long way to go! Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Oh sad to hear about that. Trees around us really help a lot. This implies the saying about we could just recognize the value of a thing until we lost. That trees beside your window before really helps in so many ways which you have mentioned.I do hope that in due time that those little plants are already grown tall, I hope that cutting scenario wont happened again.

we have a tree in front of the house. i agree, it makes the surroundings cool and fresh at night. actually, there are two trees but the one fell during one of those typhoons. the company i am with now has a number of trees around, and the adjacent farm has lots. how lonesome it is for a tree to stand alone in the metro. an odd thing to see it with those high rise buildings.

Yes those trees really helps a lot the fact that it give fresh air which is important to us. We so have some trees around the house like mango, tamarind, guava, coconut and some other little trees as well. During December these trees around our house give cold atmosphere especially at night even though we dont have snow here. Those green trees really gives fresh air, cool atmosphere and habitat for some animals like birds.

Here, I live in a town and it's still got lots of trees. I love driving even going to the main city because the trees are well kept and it lends a very good sight amidst all the concretes and buildings. In the Philippines, we have a house in the suburbs 2 hours drive away from Manila. And yes, we still have lots of trees. As a matter of fact, the highway going to our place there is lined up with trees on both sides. It still gives me hope that we are learning to care for our forests and trees more. And maybe we are learning from the past tragedies when flashfloods and landslides have claimed lots of lives due to illegal logging.

Oh good thing and great to know that there are lots of trees there in your place. There are also trees on both sides of the street when I am going to work but it become fewer and fewer when its nearer the metro sad to say but its true and that is how it is now. We really have to plant more trees and take care of them since it could really help us in the future in so many ways.

That's great that you have place like that which is surrounded by trees wherein you could run, jog or just stay there to relax and think about things in life. Such to a great feeling to see how green nature is which is so relax to see plus the fresh air that it gives.
