Today at lunch we went to Duty Free , one of the tenants of our company’s mall. The big pack of Lay’s which usually sells at PhP70.00 is now only for Php50.00 and Ruffles too is the same. I got myself one of each . Though, I feel a little guilty because just for junk foods I spent that?! Oh well, it’s just once in a while. Do you give in to eating junk foods when it’s on sale?

Mexico has many duty free stores here. As americans cross the borders to get items real cheap here. Sounds like you have similar stores there.

Indeed, Duty Free have the goods real cheap. That's because it's not being taxed. So out there in Mexico there's a lot of Duty Free shops too. Usually Duty Free are just near airports, where the travelers usually go to shop, since it's duty free or no taxes so it's cheap.

Oh yes, there are Nestle imported chocolates on Sale too. But they are in big packs, so they still cost a lot. The junks foods on sale are sold out. Yesterday, they added Hershey's to the 50% sale.

Is this for real? 50 pesos Lay's?!!! where else is this sale aside from Duty Free. hehe Duty free is in Pasay right? =) I live in QC so we are a bit far from the duty free site. =( But I love Lay's!!! It costs about 120 pesos per pack in the groceries! =) 50 pesos for a large lays is soo cheap i could buy 500 worth of those and will be happy for the next month hehe :P

Actually, it wasn't for 50 pesos but for 44 pesos. And i regretted for buying only one of each. The Ruffles (Sour , Cream & Onion), because it was so delicious. It has been for sometime since i have eaten one, coz it's a junk food. I went there to buy again, but it was already all sold! I just don't know chiyosan if all Duty Free has the 505 discount. Here , they were those nearly expiring, March 31, 2013.

I haven't been to Duty Free for decades now. The last time I was there was when I was in high school. Now, we buy imported goods at S&R and there are also lots of options there. They also have sales like the one that I saw yesterday. It was a 30% drop on Sara Lee cheesecakes for their early bird promo.

Well, I haven't been to S & R though. I think i have to find a member there, so i can also go & shop at S & R sometime. It's really so nice when there is a 50% sale. Oh, the 50% discount Ruffles i bought was so delicious. My husband and i had it as snack last night. He said it's salty. But i find it just so right specially with the Iced tea.

I just did a calculation of the equivalent price of that product here, and it's still way cheaper there even with it not on sale. Even when I take out the tax equivalent here. I guess with that price, I'd be buying lots of junk food too!

Yes, sales like this of junk foods, makes you buy a lot of them! I regretted having bought only two last Saturday. When i reported to work Monday and asked if there are still Ruffles on sale, it was sad to know that it's already sold out. Now, they have Hershey's and other chocolates for sale. It may be cheaper but they still cost a lot on the budget because they are in big packs.

Actually, i don't eat junk foods often. I choose the junk foods that i have to eat. But since this imported Lay's potato chips is really so discounted, i bought 2 big packs, for husband and i to munch on when we become hungry at night, watching TV.

Lays is one junk food, one can't resist. Though it's junk foods, i have seen on TV on how it's being manufactured. It's real potatoes unlike some potato chips which are mostly made out of starch.
