Yesterday I came across an article writing site namely iwantarticles. This site seems to be at beginning stage and hence wants to know its real color. Do any one here has gone through the site and if so let me know the features of the site. I hope this site may disappear in the future. Since the payment is very less for each article and also the quality. So,you can go through the site and let me know the reality of the site features. If it is worth I will also join with eager expectations.

Hi manasha! I never heard of this writing site before. Maybe we can focus on those popular and stable sites rather than trying out new ones which we are not sure if it will last or not. And having a fix low amount on a certain article is not worth an effort. Have a great day!

At those rates, no. You can make more by publishing on rev share or your own site. Or, if you produce quality content, you can use a decent site. Put it this way: I sold 3 articles last month and pocketed over $100 after the seller's cut... why would anyone work for $0.25 per article?

Where did you sell those articles? I am curious as I am writing articles for base/crap pay right now. It's difficult to find good paying places. I write for someone who basically outsources articles to a team of about fifty writer around the world. I'm not really big on Freelancers - I got scammed by someone from there. And most other sites also offer low pay rates. I have written some articles for requesters on Amazon turk and they pay a bit more - 500 words will net 2.50 - 5.00. Once, I wrote one for 7.00. But that's about the highest I've found.

They were sold on Constant Content, where the prices are awesome and the editorial filter is harsh. The best pay always comes from individual clients, though. I've found most of my best customers through the bidding sites, to be honest: like most things, they're crammed full of crap but there are some real gems in there. That said, I use Elance rather than Freelancer, as I've always had a bad impression of the latter site. Too much spam and scam for my liking.

Hi Manasha, this site is not a new site at all. It is a spinoff from Microworkers. You can see a lot of discussions about this Iwantarticles a few years ago. I think the rate is reasonable, since the minimum word count is 30 words, and you are paid 25 cents. That is about a cent for every word. Plus you have a bonus of three dollars when you join.

From the writer's point of view, the pay seems very low. Without joining and logging in, it is not possible to see the detailed specifications but the jobs displayed on the front page are all of around $0.25 per article and these will very likely be in the 200 - 300 word range. The average earnings per task of one of the current 'top' writers is $0.27. No writer who is worth anything at all ought to consider such low rates, which are virtually slave labour! All the same, such low rates may, unfortunately, be acceptable to people in Asian or third world countries (which is where nearly all the writers appear to live). The FAQ's state that prospective writers will have to pass a test to see if their standard is sufficient. Clients are also able to rate a Writer and this will probably affect a Writer's likelihood of being chosen. If I were a prospective client, the standard of English of the FAQs themselves would not inspire confidence in their ability to judge quality. Although the company appears to be based in the US, the website would appear to have been written by someone with a rather poor command of English. Neither the Terms nor the FAQs mention clearly what is the position with regard to copyright of articles submitted. They claim to run submissions through Copyscape to check for originality but a good article writing site should clearly state whether or not the writer retains copyright in the articles submitted and whether they are allowed to use their material elsewhere subsequently. It is probably too early to say whether the site pays reliably or not (or at all). There is no indication of a minimum payout or how often payments are made. Individual writers' earnings are displayed on their profiles and the 'top earner' has been a member since 2009 and has earned $34 for 47 tasks.

" Inactive Accounts User Accounts that have been inactive for more than 365 days ("Inactive Accounts") will incur a dormant account fee of US$5 per month until either the Account is terminated or reactivated. iWantArticles.com reserves the right to cancel Inactive Accounts with a nil or negative balance. " source: http://iwantarticles.com/terms.php What site charges for inactive account? How are we supposed to know that they won't intentionally keep the account running so they can keep charging us? I'd strongly suggest going over the terms because there are some other things in there which seem a bit odd to me.

Never hear it before, now I only active in shvoong and bubblews. Cause they allow my language to be using in the post. So that I could translate English articles to my language. I get more comfortable to translate English to Indonesia, rather then the opposite.
