Homesick

What do you do when you are homesick and live 2000 miles from home...especially over the holidays? This is my first holiday season this far from home. Just wondering if there is anyway to get rid of this feeling.

Go out in town and have some fun ! If you stay at home the situation will only get worst.

Go have a walk with your baby in the park or go to a circus or something like that ! Have fun and thank you .

I talk to my mom and sister probably every other day. But i still miss them. My son will b 1, and it was really hard for me taking him from all his relatives. They miss him more than anything. It really bums me out they can't see him grow up. His 1st bday is wednesday and i wish they could be here for it.

I lived about 800 miles from my family for 2 years and didn't get to spend the holidays with them. My wife goes through that now and I do my best to make sure she doesn't get too depressed.

Yah it is hard, especially since i have a baby and he will b 1 next week...my family wont be able to celebrate with me, that really bums me out. My husband tries his best..but so far not much helps.

i am a person who is really homesick.i wanted to stop my studies just because i was away from my home..dont know what i will do after my marriage

I wouldnt go as far as to stop what i am doing cause i miss home. It is just hard being away from family, especially over the holidays. Does your boyfriend help you when you are bummed out?

im 2000 miles away from home too this is my third year and it does not get any better the holidays are the worst time

It is very hard..and i don't handle stress well. I was in the hospital last night for headaches and they are saying it is from stress. They said i need to find out how to cut down on my stress...but how when it is over my family?
