Oh wow, this is intriguing. Hmmmm...Very hard to say. First of all, according to the story, the angel became the 'devil' because he did not want to take orders, so preferred to rule hell, than take orders in heaven (not a christian here, so understand if I make a mistake in the story). If the Christian god is as other christians say he is, then probably forgive him, if he accepts Jesus as his saviour, I think that is how they believe.

@ifa225 Satan is such a good liar that he has convinced himself that he can take over the New Jerusalem when it comes down. After all he has plenty of bad men who have waged war on others like Neo, Hitler, etc.

I am pretty sure he will forgive him. How nice will it be living in a place where there's no evil around ^_^

God has to let sin runs its course so that we will not want to sin on our own and not be forced on us by God.

Your question reminds me of a Bible verse! I know some beliefs/denominations might disagree with me, but:
Colossians 1:20 (copy and pasted, Contemporary English Version)
20 And God was pleased
for him (Jesus) to make peace
 on the cross,
so that all beings in heaven
 and on earth
would be brought back to God.
blessings..!

Flowerchild. Christ did make a provision for all to be brought back to heaven but like Satan their pride is to much to admit they have sinned.
All people in heaven will have righted their mistakes and asked for forgiveness. There are people who don't want to go to heaven because they believe that they would be miserable and I think that is true. Even some on Mylot have confessed that they would not be happy in heaven. God isn't going to force us to change as for many that would be like having to live in jail.

@ifa225 Satan was given many chances to change and the angels tried to get him to change his mind.

The problem here is that one needs to ask for forgiveness to be forgiven. Satan's pride will never allow him to do that.

Yes God is forgiving, but when it comes to the devil, he had his chance, and when he fell from hearven, it was over for him. the devil would never ask for forgiveness anyway, as he is mad becasue he wanted to be like God, and sit on his throne. he is just to evil and there would be no way that God could ever forgive him, as he has cause a lot of people to be lost. God is merciful as well, but when it comes to being merciful to the devil, there is no way that it will happen. You can't really expect God to forgive him, after what he tried to do, by taking over God's throne. God did what he had to do. Take care, and God bless you.

Sure. He is a God. He is perfect, but if that would happen, I think the world would be perfect and the earth would be heaven for us.

                    Hi,
The way I see it, it all depends on how sincere asking for forgiveness one can be. There are certain parameters that needs to be met before forgiveness occurs. One of it is to make up for the damages done for the transgressions and the list could be long. Given the nature of the devil, it may take a very long time to do it. But it can be done, given the right conditions and frame of mind. First, he should cease to be a devil that he is, which is impossible for the circumstances.

Ezekiel specifically states that Satan's beauty and wisdom of heart to become proud. Isaiah tells us that Satan decided that he was entitled to be like God. So there is no way he will ask God's forgiveness since he's arrogant.

I don't think that God will forgive him because in the first place, it is really impossible for the Satan to ask forgiveness from God. Everything is already written in the holy scriptures. All the details pertaining to how God will put an end to Satan's evil deeds.

If ever the devil will ask for forgiveness I know God will surely give his forgiveness to the devil. for God is forgiveness and Love.
