Thanks to my hubby, he is going to get me on at his place of work. I told him I want to give it a try and what I will be doing will be really easy. My husband works at a factory that makes bread and all kinds of doughnuts and stuff. Where I will be working at is in the doughnuts section and according to my husband that is one of the easiest sections in the company. What I will be doing is standing at a certain section and bagging up doughnuts and that's it. All day. I just have to be really fast. There will be no walking around or anything like that. I will be making more then I did at Wal Mart and at Target and if I like it after 6 months I can go into the bigger company and make around $15 an hour. I'm willing to try this out because I really want to work, I don't want to stay at home and not work. So, he talked to the lady that does all the hiring and asked her and she said that they will be doing a lot of hiring for that department because they are putting in a new shift. So sounds like I have the job. Everyone knows my husband and he's worked there for a good while and he's a hard worker so whoever he suggest into the company they trust him and will hire them right on. So I have an interview on Monday.

hi LMB its so good whenever our mylotters do get jobs as I guess the job market all over the US is not good at all.I know its very bad here in Southern California and people with degrees are faring no better either coming out of college. scary really. My son is finally working full time. I am so glad for that.

Thanks LMB and I really do appreciate that he did that for me. I know he wanted to make sure the work wasn't so hard either, because most of that work there is really hard. But since its easy I should be able to handle it, and I do want to give it a try and work my hardest. So I hope it works out too. @Hatley, I get really happy too when I hear all those mylotters who get jobs. It is scary that when people go to school, that they are not sure if they will come out with a job or not. The job market now is so hard. But I'm not going to let that stop me in going to school and I just hope once I'm done, I will find something within my degree. Glad that your son was able to find something. He was really lucky.

Hi trisha, I wish you luck in your job interview..I hope you don't find it difficult to have to be standing in one spotpostition for such a long time..To me it just would not work but I am also sure you are younger than I am and probably will be able to do it without any problem.. Good luck to you again...

Will you be allowed to use headphones to listen to music or radio? If this was so then the job would not be so boring and the time would pass more quickly for you

No, I don't think they allow headphones. It be nice if they would. But there is going to be people around I hope we can talk to one another while we work. I'm sure there would be no problem with that just as long as we get our work done I'm sure. A lot of other companies I had worked with before didn't allow talking while we worked.

Well, good luck. Sounds pretty promising for you too. Everyone deserves to have a good job and be happy and $15 is nothing to sneeze at today, especially with the economy. I would be happy to find a job where I could make that much. You will be working around a lot of sweets :)

That is true it would be nice to make $15 an hour and is nothing to sneeze about. I may just go into the bigger company if there is an opening. They only require you to have a highschool diploma which I have.

Hi there trisha! that is great, and when you said its in the doughnuts section my mind was like wow.. i am seeing colors and sugars and coating everywhere. i know its probably just simple glazed but it must have been really nice seeing how doughnuts are made and packed. Goodluck with the speed requirement, but i am sure you will ge tused to it. at least you will be paid more than what you got from the target or walmart. but its just you on one place and won't have to walk, stand and go all over the supermarket finding items for customers.

hi trisha I hope you get the job and it sounds like you will too. my best wishes that you get it and love it and make good wages too. one should hold onto whatever job you get and do not let go. This economy is just awful specially here in Southern California. WE are second in the nation in people out of work. Not something to be proud of for sure.

I definitely agree that it is something we shouldn't be proud of. It is such a shame that so many people are out of work now because of the economy. We haven't really experienced anything really bad with the economy here in Texas, but its been hard I know for students coming fresh out of college not finding any jobs here at all. But you are so right that whenever someone gets a job they should try to hold on to it as long as they can and I'm planning on holding on to this one.

It's nice to have someone able to help you with the work and even more if it's a person close to you like your husband. I wish you good luck, hopefully you'll get it done on monday. The job might be very different to the jobs you might have done before, but I am sure that it will be interesting.

Wow, that sounds like a good one. I am happy for you, that you have an option and opportunity like that. It's already a good rate for starters, definitely better than getting minimum nowadays. And definitely better than staying at home. I hope you really get the job.

I hope I get the job too and the rate is really good. He actually told me the starting pay would be $10.75 I like that rate. It is better then staying at home too. I would have been happy with minimum wage as well, but hey I'll take the amount that they are starting with no complaints there.

I am glad that you have your own work already. Me, I can not imagine myself to stay long in the house whenever I have my own family already. Like you, I just also want to earn for our living to help my future husband financially. Good luck then for your interview. I believe , you will make it.

Let me hope and wish you a successful coming Monday and that you will find the job. In the meantime, do pursue the issues in Target if there's any - don't let them have the satisfaction of getting away with murder. Sounds like an easy job if you have good coordination and multitasking skills. All the best here.

Hi trisha! All the best! Just relaxed and ask for the guidance of the Lord. For sure, you will have this job. We should also try our best to have our own job and do not depend entirely on our husband. Good luck!
