A trip around the world

A Danish family travelled around the world for two years. They travelled in their own car and at first they travelled across Siberia. When they reached the Eastern part of Russia they sailed to Japan. From Japan they went to the US. From the US they travelled south through Mexico and the countries in Central America. When they reached Colombia they continued to Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. They sailed on the Amazon river for two weeks and then they went back to US before they returned to their home in Denmark. What do you think about their trip? Would you have chosen to visit the same countries if you had the chance to travel around the world for 2 years or would you have chosen to spend the time in other parts of the world for instance Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia or Africa?

I really liked hearing about the Danish family's trip around the world by car. It must have been expensive to ship their car across the oceans. I imagine it must have been challenging to drive through Siberia. I guess that driving in South America would have been exciting for them. When I was 20 to 21 years old I did travel around the world by air and my trip lasted for just over one year. I visited places suitable for a newbie sort of traveler. I went to California, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. To afford it I let out my cottage and worked legally in Australia. You see I had a working holiday visa. If I did a two year round then world trip I would see Central America, all the Caribbean Islands, more of South America like Ecuador plus Peru, Madagascar plus Mauritius and places in Asia like India, China and the Philippines.

I also think that it was challenging for them to drive through Siberia. I am not sure what kind of car they had or how long it took them to drive through Siberia. I think that I would prefer to travel on the Transsiberian railway instead. I think it must have been interesting to drive through Mexico, the countries in Central America and some of the countries in South America. I think that there are lot of interesting places to visit in that part of the world. Your trip around the world sounds amazing. I hope to visit Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in the future. A two year trip around the world would be fantastic and it would give us the chance a lot of different places. I would probably visit some places in Asia, Africa, Central America and South America. I would also like to include some the Carribean islands and some of the countries in the Pacific Ocean.

I passed my practical driving test in 2010. I don't think I could drive across Siberia either. I would prefer to go on the Trans Siberian Train. I love trains and these are great for a journey like Moscow to Beijing. I would wish to see some lesser known Pacific Islands like Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Tuvalu and Tonga.

Yes, the journey between Moscow and Beijing would be amazing. At first I thought about taking the route between Moscow and Vladivostok, but I have read that last part of that route isn't very interesting so I think that the route between Moscow and Beijing would be a better choice. I would love to visit some of the Pacific islands. I have only seen them on pictures, but based on the pictures I think that it would be an interesting experience to explore them. I am not sure how hard it would be to get from island to island, I have heard that some of them are quite different to reach, but I think that it would be really interesting to visit them.

Their travel was great, my friend. I love to have the same one. However, I don't think that I have enough experience to do it. I think that they must have many suitable skills to make it.

I visited the website where they described their trips. They had gone on other trips before this trip so they were experienced travellers. I think that it is neccesary to have some travel experience before you decide to go such a long trip. They visited a lot of interesting places and I think that their trip must have been very interesting, but I also think that they went through some difficulties or challenges during the trip. They travelled together as a family. They were two adults and 3 children as far as I remember. I think it must have been a great experience for them as a family.

Wow, their travel must be so interesting and exciting. Two years of a travel is not a short time. Their journey must full of the joy. Especially they even traveled on the Amazon River, it is just like an adventure. I hope they will write a book and show us their photos in the travel. It is really something.

I think that a book about their trip would be really interesting and I am sure that they would have a lot of things to write about. They must have had a lot of different experiences when they travelled for such a long time. I have never gone on such a long trip. I love to travel, but I usually travel for some weeks or less. I would like to see some of their photos from the trip, I imagine that they have taken a lot of photos during their trip. Yes, it sounds like an adventure to sail on the Amazon river. I would like to try that if I get the chance to visit South America in the future

I would like to go on a trip like that around the world one day I especially like the idea of driving around the world. The difference between travelling by car and by other means of transport is that you get to see more of the world as you travel from place to place. My dream however is to have a boat that I can live in and travel around in living in a new place every so often seeing as much of the world as possible.

Yes, when you travel by car you are able to see more of of the world. You can enjoy the view from the window and I love to do that when I travel by car, bus or train. Flying is much faster if we have to travel to a place that is far away from our home, but when we travel by plane we don't get the same chance to see the places that we pass during the trip. Your dream about living in a boat and travelling around the world sounds amazing. I have heard about people who have done something like that and I think that it must be a great way to see different parts of the world. My ex-boyfriend had a boat and we sometimes explored the islands in our local area, but it would be even more interesting to visit other parts of the world

This was a lot of traveling for this family, they most have had a lot of fun, doing all of this traveling, no I would not have done all of this traveling, this would have only made me tired, I am not into doing, a lot of moving around like this.

Yes, I think that they had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the trip. The family consisted of a couple of their children and I think that a trip like that is a great way to spend some time together as a family I would have loved to travel around the world with my family when I was a child, but my family never did something like that.

Those must be really well-behaved children. I can't imagine 2 years travelling with the same people, day in and day out, without any conflicts, irritations, fights, arguments. Yes, even when they are your family, especially when you're with your family in my case. Also, they must have sufficient income to do something like this, and maybe Danish passports are accommodated without visa or with visa upon entry by lots of countries. I would love to travel Mexico, Central and South America but I would not be able to bear the cold in Siberia. From Denmark, countries along the Mediterranean are much preferrable. And South Asia and Southeast Asia and East Asia as well. And I wouldn't miss Africa.

I would imagine that they had conflicts and arguments during the trip. I think that it would be hard to spend so much time together without any arguments. On the other hand it would also be a great experience to travel together as a family and share a lot of experiences that way. You also learn a lot of things about eachother that way because you would have to solve problems together and find a way to handle the challenging situations that you experience during the trip. I am not sure how they found the money for their trip. I must have been quite expensive to travel for a long time. Yes, as a Dane you ar able to visit quite a lot of countries without a visa as long as you only stay there for a short time. Russia is not one of those countries, they must have gotten visas for Russia before they started their trip. South Asia and South East Asia would be very interesting places to visit. I hope that I will be able to return to South East Asia in the future. I would also like to visit Africa, because I have never been there.
