Wandering Eye Trouble

I was talking to a lady friend today who is, shall we say, somewhat well endowed in the chest department! She was wearing a cardigan that was undone. I know how much women object to men talking to their chests and endeavour never to do that myself. However, this friend kept pulling her cardigan together across her chest and then let go. Over the next two or three minutes her cardigan sprang open again causing her to pull it together again, and so on and so forth. I really wanted to tell her to do the wretched thing up. I wonder if this is a common problem for women?

She was very clearly sending you one of those 'mixed messages'. Either,
"I really get a kick out of embarrassing men. I have the POWER!"
OR
"I really want you to admire my chest. Look, I keep fussing with it!"
OR
"I think you are a really naughty man and I want you to think that I'm not really a 'loose woman' (but the thought of it still turns me on)"
OR
"Memo to self: I really MUST fix the button on this cardy which keeps coming undone."
Your guess is as good as mine as to whether it really was a 'wardrobe malfunction' or whether there was some conscious/subconscious gestural communication. She was either as embarrassed as you were OR thoroughly enjoying embarrassing YOU for reasons not immediately clear.

gee... I thought you were talking about the "real" wandering eye http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strabismus
My sister had surgery twice, once at 3 (1960-61) and once at 18 (1976) to try and correct this. These days they prefer to do the surgeries much earlier, even before the child is 1.
As for your lady friend, I think I would've told her to go ahead and button it up. I don't do that unless I'm cold, and then I'll hold it or otherwise do it up. However, I am also no longer well endowed....

She knew exactly what she was doing! Having said that, the cardi may have been too small, perhaps?

It would've been better if she'd taken the cardigan off seeing as it was a waste of time. Mind you, her top underneath may have been too small as well..and her bra.
Haha!

For me yeah its a little problem. But its nothing serious, its a girl thing but you can tell her if she is feeling uncomfy with her clothing you can always offer something to cover it up and that girl would think you are gentleman. xx

Doing up a 'cardy' is just not done here (UK), I don't know why. I think it's about not covering up a pretty top. The problem with this is
drafts. You wear a cardy for warmth right? Feel the cold, pull cardy shut; too hot open cardy - round and round. Why wear one? Habit, custom and mum :-( !!

Possibly you got things mixed up here....and YOU "were pulling your eyes over the wool", looking for booby traps?

I am bigger in that area so I am paranoid about not wanting to make others uncomfortable by them. I make sure if I am going out to make sure they are covered up in the right way and won't cause a scene! Lol. I don't like all of the attention on me so I would be mortified if it happened to me...
When I was younger, going to clubs and such I was the opposite-if you could see cleavage it was all good. Lol, grown up a lot since then though...

Roving eyes, they say. Men tend to eye the chest department a fraction of a second later than the face but if the woman is well endowed the first look will always be towards the chest. It is instinctive. Yes, it is a common problem, these cardigan buttons coming undone all the time. May have been bought when she was slimmer and the bust was not so daunting.

Well, either that or her boobies are too big or her cardigan is too small. Pick one.
