I Want To Be Snowed In

I know it's ridiculous and it won't happen (Carlisle has the Pennines in the way so we're sheltered from serious snowfall) but I'd love it if we were snowed in tomorrow. That way, I won't have to visit the in-laws at 11am prompt lol.
Having said that, the sunbed(!) I've ordered for Mum as a belated Mother's Day present can only be picked up during Saturday, then it's not reserved anymore at the Argos store.
Damn!
The more I think about going round to the in-laws the more I get this feeling of dread. I look at my cat and wish I was her right now!

I saw all the snow on the news, it's really really strange that we are having snow in March! Just when Spring is about to appear. Normally once February has gone you can almost guarantee a certainty that you've also said goodbye to the snow. We are fortunate here, it's very cold, but we've got the wind and the rain. Make sure that olive branch doesn't have splinters in it my friend, and I hope their intentions are honourable and as I said in your last discussion, they haven't got an ulterior motive for it!

I just cannot understand why - she in particular - wants to be friends now. I'd got used to not seeing her and now I have to. I'm only doing it for John's benefit, not theirs and not mine either, which is cruel in a way but I have to be honest with myself about this.

Sadly in order to keep the peace we have to put our needs last. I hope she hasn't got an ulterior motive, at least the way was you knew exactly where you stood with her! I truly hope it goes well my friend, but me mindful that she might have an ulterior motive, it's like why now?

Actually, I love to be snowed in. We were snowed in during the great blizzards of 1967 and 78. I was small, so had a great time. Dad went bonkers because he could not get out to get his ciggies, LOL. But I like it when we get a nice big blizzard and get snowed in. There is something about the air I like, I have gotten some of my best naps during blizzards. We've had them since those dates, but not as heavy. I like blizzards. then again, I take public transportation, so it's cool. but if I drove, I am sure I'd feel differently.

Yes, I know what you mean about the fresh air when it's been snowing a lot. The last time I saw a major dump of snow was in the 90s and I wasn't living here but on the coast.

Sometimes you dread something so much that you make it even worse than it is. Take a few deep breaths and relax a bit. Once you are past it you will be so very relieved. I feel sorry for John as he said he loves all three of you.

To be honest, I went to please him..and the FIL I suppose as I've always got on well with him.
Turned out OK in the end, I'm pleased to say.

I was worrying unnecessarily in the end as it was OK. The MIL was quiet due to having a bad cold but she did speak. At least she was civil towards me and I to her. No point having a row lol.

I can hardly resist laughing. You actually wished you were snowed in so as not to visit the in-laws.It seems that You have to brave it out ,because they came round of their own accord yesterday.

In the end we weren't snowed in (in fact we only got a dusting of snow, that was it) but I braved the visit and all is well. Nothing over the top which is how I like it lol.

The weather is unbelievable here at the moment. The cold just goes on..and on...and on with no let up.
Anyway, we do have other things to do tomorrow so I'm not planning on being there for long, believe me.

May as well wish for a tornado to whisk you off to the land of Oz... just watch out for the flying monkeys. Oh, wait. You'll be visiting your inlaws. Still need to watch out for flying monkeys.
Sunbed?
Sunbed?

We went round (it was fine) before picking up the sunbed for my Mum. I've inspected it on our arrival back home and it's ace. It's got a retro look about it and I only hope it warms up for her to use it!

Montana looks a beautiful place and I'd love to visit one day. Plenty bears there I take it?
