Food for the beggars.

I just thought of this one.
I saw some beggars asking money from every one to buy food. They keep on saying that they haven't had their dinner or breakfast. Sometimes, I thought of giving them food instead of money since this will lead as their habit to aske money from others. Also, I saw others buying other stuffs instead of food from the money they earned which really makes me decide to give food instead of money. However there are some that will get angry with you if you give them food instead of money.
What can you say about this mylotters?

Giving money directly to them is against the law. It would only encourage them to stay out in the streets and ask for it when they can work for it. If there's a will, there's a way. Some of them will not like to be given food directly because that's not what they need. They need more than that and once they manage to survive everyday by begging there would be no point of working anymore.

I agree with you. It will really encourage them to do such work since they can get money from begging. But if you give food, they will at least try other ways to get money but hopefully not in a bad way.

This sounds funny to me, a beggar that is demanding, like you, i also give food to beggars instead of money, because we might doesn't know the background of that beggar, i'm thinking maybe that beggar is a member of a syndicate. In my idea maybe the other beggars they prefer money compared to food, is that maybe they something to buy other than food, how about water or others things that can help them survive of a day.

I also refrain from giving them money, instead we give them food. sometimes we could not deny that they would gamble the money and that would be a waste.

That is what I always think off especially when you look the them and seems they are not telling the truth. Others will be a bit angry with you when you give them food instead of money.

O how can it happen...by the way I used to give them few money when I can. And I don't want to think if they were real beggar or not, cause I must think if they are rich they won't be at that situation.

I am also open of giving them but not money. As much as I want, I will give them food because some uses begging as source of income. Some were kids but their parents are just near watching them and collecting the money you gave to them.

I think it is important to give them when they seem to need at the time. Any of us can be in that position. I really think that you should give them food and maybe some change as well. It can't hurt. I have given gloves, cash and food. depends on the situation. Homelessness can happen to anyone. There are people who were executives who are now in food pantry lines.

I think if you care that much to those persons, you will think if what will they do about the money.
