The internet is so slow these days..

Maybe it is because classes are over and a lot of people are now using the internet 24/7.. Does the number of people affect internet speed? it's signal right,the more people send and receive signals, it'll become more crowded and the response would be slower.. is it? Should i just use the internet during dawn then or at a time when less people use it? Would that help?

Hi lady1993, the internet speed is extremely low during weekends here. I notice that from Sunday evening to Monday morning the speed would be really fast. I believe people are going to working place in out station or students are busy with their schedules. It's the golden moment for me to surf net 
It's disappointed that such situation doesn't work on school holidays. Yeah, this whole week is school holidays here. I can enjoy the high speed internet connection again this coming Sunday

Yeah, it is a national holiday here though, since it is HOly Week until Sunday- which will be Easter Sunday. So almost everyone is home.. and people can access the internet from their personal comuters, laptops/netbooks and even phones.. so there is a lot of competition.

On account of the low speed of internet connection, I had made up my mind and got my monthly internet subscription upgraded to 8 Mbps/512kbps package. Another $7 usd will be charged every month After upgrading it's very much smoother than before. Nowadays more and more people have internet installation. It's a must to spend extra expenses on it so that still could access internet fluently even during heavy traffic moment. 
have to work hard to earn more to maintain the expenses. Anyway it's worthy for net surfer addict. Thanks for the BR

You're welcome. The telephone company calls from time to time to offer us higher rates for faster internet access too- but i don't want to, since sooner or later the connection will be slower again, still the same thing. 
Our connection slows down for just a little while though.. not all the time.

My computer was running slow, but it wasn't because there were a whole lot, of people online it was because, there was alot of dust in my computer and I had to clean my computer out, and clean it out good, so it could work right, and then I downloaded me another browser, because that was causing, it to run slow to.

hi lady 1993 I have cable internet from time Warner and it runs fast on everything but mylot as mylot has always been a bit slow. I have no problem with my speed on all other sites.mylot needs to enlarge its bandwidth for one thing as they now gave a lot of people on here.

Saturdays are pretty busy on the internet. Mylot is usually busy then also. Yes, the amount of people going to a certain site can lug down some servers. Sometimes if you try at different times you can find a time that isn't so slow.

I do not face this situation. I am getting connection very fast. Only mylot is slow..
