My son and his friends

Hi,
My son was telling yesterday that when he was living with his friends one day he was hanging out with his friends. Two boys were going on motorcycle. The speed of their motorcycle is very high. 500 rupees note was fell down from the pocket of the boy on the back seat. He didn't know it. My son's friend take that note. In the beginning they become happy that they have 55 rupees and they can enjoy a party. But then they thought that they can't use this because they have no right to spend it on food. They thought they would wait there and if that boy come back to find the money they will return it to him. But that boy didn't come back. So they decided to donate it in the temple. Really my son and his friends are having moral values. May God give some good reward for their good karma.

It is wonderful to know that they are not tempted in anyway to take and use the money as their own but donated it in the temple. Good moral values indeed!

In the beginning they thought that they should go to hotel and spend the money. But their mind didn't allow them to do so.

What a wonderful honest act! Most would have spent it without a second thought, but this shows true honesty and it must have took a lot to donate it, especially when they could have treated themselves, but I guess bought food doesn't taste so good when it's bought with ill-gotten games. I am sure karma will truly reward him for his act of honesty and it's great to hear!

you are right. My son and his friends are very honest. God is always with them who are honest. I don't have to worry about my son because he has good company of his friends. So he would not choose bad path in his life.

What if that 500 was a reward of some other good karma that he might have done earlier...

Hi,
you are right. It may be the reward for their previous good karma. But they couldn't understand it. They thought that that money would be very important for that boy. He would have in need of that money for some important bill etc. It would not be good to spend that money for fun.

Wwll your son did not learn those morals and values out in
the street,,,they were taught that at home I am sure and I
am sure you are oroud of him for making the proper decision.
and I agree with you "may God give some good reward for their
good karma"...Hope your wife is feeling OK today...

Hi,
All credit goes to my wife because I was very busy with my work when there was a time to teach some moral values to him. My wife always teach him how to behave with others. I like to share one incident at his school times. One day he brought some pencils and eraser and said to his mother I got these things from my class mate. He has stolen them from the compass box of the boys in the class. My wife got angry and told him that you should return these thing to him because if you take these things you are also a thief because you are having these stolen things. you should not use these things. He returned all pencils and erasers to that boy. Thus small incidents in our life teaches us many good things.

Hi Rosh Well I would have to give credit where credit is due that is to your being a good parent, this is a good example of what we teach our children it sounds to me you have a wonderful son with many good morals you both deserve a pat on the back it is so refreshing to hear good news and that the younger generation still cares.

Hi,
Many people say that younger generation doesn't have moral values. But my son and his friends have manners and they know how to behave with others. My son is very lucky that he has such good friends. We don't have to worry about our son. Because children learn some bad things from his friends. But his friends don't have any bad habit.

Good always comes from good. The problem is that humans are alway impatient to receive their reward, the good that comes may be nothing more than a short delay, that saves them from harm. They may never be aware that this happened or if they are they may never connect it with a good deed they did many years in the past. God's time is not our time. Blessings

Your son and his friends really are respectable people. You see, most people that were to find themselves in that kind of a situation would be likely to give in to their own greed and they would end up using the money that they had found for something of their own good. The fact that they waited to see if the unfortunate person returned looking for their money is commendable and the fact that they donated it when he didn't return is an even better show of their characters.
