i was wondering if this new thing with north korea and the u.s. going to produce more apocalypse hype. first it was Y2K, then that cult guy back in 2010 saying the world was going to end that july, then the mayan calender thing. i am so sick and tired staring doomsday in the face.

I have been hearing apocalyptic stuff since I was in junior and high school. Back in the 60's. There will always be something about it. This North Korea thing gets scarier all the time. And I even heard on some show I watching during Easter week-end that apocalyptic stuff can be traced back to the 300A.C. so its been around awhile and we might as well get used to it. lol

Personally I am not at all concerned about North Korea, what worries me is the Middle East, which is fragile at the best of times. There will always be wars, sadly, man doesn't have any capacity for peace, North Korea alone couldn't take on the might of America, it's what countries ally themselves with North Korea. But you are right, it always seems to be doom and gloom that is why I restrict myself from watching the news and reading the papers, I have enough doom and gloom in my life in the shape of depression to readily want any more.

i'm much older than you and this "end of world" thing as been going on for years. You get so you just laugh at it. I do think that it is possible that given the warfare and all , we could find ourselves in such a situation. I also believe that if and when it happens, we won't see it coming. It isn't worth worrying about. If it is going to happen then there isn't much any of us can do to stop it,. Worrying and getting all hyped about it is just a waste of time and energy.

We are now used to every one crying wolf wolf. Rather than getting affected by what we hear it is better that we live by the hour. Que sera sera
