I know it's not a pleasant topic. But when the time comes would you rather be cremated or be buried. I think I will consider a little piece of square land will getting harder and harder to find, I would rather be cremated. Money wise, it cheaper too, no coffin needed. What about you? Which will you choose?

i am not sure many people wanna answer this topic ,because people hate hearing and thinking about die. i also dont like to talk but your discussion is cool in my country ,turkey we cant burn the bodies,it s religious rule,so i cant decide the burning choice, but the idea about burning is cool they burn the person,so we can get the ash and throw it to the world,it s cool happy mylotting

I read about some cultures or religions required to be buried.

I will be getting cremated just to make sure I don't wake up in a dark box. Plus I want my ashes spread in an area that was important to me.

I choose cremation, as you said it is cheaper you are right about it, and the good thing you can put the ash of your loved ones in your house, put it in altar or anywhere you want, and you can visit it everyday, unlike on cemeteries, you have find time to visit.

yes. One time I saw this girl with necklace that has little plastic jar as pendant. She mention that inside the little jar is part of her father's ashes.

Growing up I always thought I wanted to be in a mausoleum. Not buried in the ground with bugs or cremated because I'm afraid of fire. Now in my mid 50's I have decided that cremation is the way to go. Mausoleums are way to much money and even being buried is expensive. So like you cremation is better because its less costly. Also people don't need to have to feel obligated to go to your tombstone to pay their respects.

Mausoleums are expensive. When I was younger I thought I want to be buried. But everything so expensive now.

Well this is something I have really given some thougt too. when I purchased life insureance years ago I was definately not thinking about any other option that being buried..but now that a lot of time has passed I have given it more thought...I would like to be cremated I think and but my daughter is not having it...But I would rather my children and grand children get use of the money besides when I am gone my soul will leave immediately for heaven (I an believing anyway) and if I am cremated my ashes will be here for my family instead in the ground site with many many others....

To be quite honest I would rather be buried. Everyone has their own opinions about it but to me just being put in a box in the ground and rotting away eventually sounds better than sitting in a jar on your family's mantle. Also I can be buried next to my love and spend the rest of my physical time next to her

Yes, it is not pleasant topic. But, I will response your discussion. Based on my belief when people die he or she will buried. It is the rule of our religion. Yes, you are right, to prepare a piece of square land harder to find. But, we believe that we have to apply the rule of our religion, although it is hard...

I try not to think much about dying as it makes me feel sad and scared, but I think I have to face the fact that that's where all of us are going someday. I think I'd rather be cremated. I'm more comfortable with the thought of being a pile of ashes inside a jar or something than the thought of being under the ground.

If I would die, I rather be cremated then buried. It's because I have the feeling when I get buried, I leave my family and relatives with the responsability to visit the grave once in a while. So I rather get cremated, because than my relatives have the chance to choose what to do with my remainings (ashes) and I don't have the feeling that I'm forcing them to visit something.

both are ok to me. but nowadays people usually give others the point that you should be creamated or buried otherwise blablabla... I hate these talks, everyone has its own choice and should be respected, people should respect others like what you expect others to do with you.

I will be cremated anyway! I am a Hindu so it is a ritual which has to be performed. But we use sandalwood which is a little expensive
