we have the old model or type of air con. the box type. it was placed on the window and so the heat would be expelled outside the window of the room. since my mom don't want to have the oven inside the house , she just have the oven just outside the window of the room. although the air con is not directly in front of the oven, which is located in more open place to let the smell of the food and the smoke to just go freely. the heat of the air con would be felt when you are cooking. specially this hot weather it would add more heat on where she is cooking. so i have no choice than to turn off the air con till she is done cooking.

your house has a dirty kitchen where the back part of your window type aircon facing the one cooking? Tell your mom it has a dual purpose, a fan while cooking. so, she don' t sweat that much.lol i can imagine her face while your airconditioner is on, "beef tapa" face.lol

This discussion just 100% confused me to no end. Your mother does not want the oven inside of the house??? The air conditioner adds heat???

it's late so maybe it is just me interpreting this wrong. It's just that I have that same type of air conditioner and I always turn it on when I'm cooking or the place gets too hot and my oven is inside of the house. The air conditioner draws the hot air outside and makes it more comfortable to cook in the hot weather.

Yeah, in her case the oven is placed outside near the back of the AC where the hot air comes out if the AC is on inside the house... So she is cooking outside the house; if the AC is on, she will feel the hot air which makes her uncomfortable especially when it is already hot outside...
