I would like to know if people with high Blood Pressure get angry faster than those who have normal BP? recently my husband said to me that his sudden anger and shout is because of his high BP. he said i do not know but when it goes high i just want to shout and get angry it is not in my control... so it makes me think about that.. can that be a cause of anger? I think so.... what is your idea?

High blood pressure and some other health problems can cause a person to have spells of anger. He is correct. HOWEVER if he knows this he needs to do things that help relieve his high blood pressure and he needs to not take his anger and anxiety out on others around him, especially you. There are lifestyle changes like avoiding salt and eating certain spices and fruits and vegetables and drinking enough water and getting enough exercise. Maybe you can help him make these changes and then you will both feel happier.

Interesting. I guess I thought getting angry and shouty made blood pressure go up. Not the other way around.

Hey Extremefun, difinitely, i think high BP is a cause of anger. WHen we are angry, then our heart beats faster and then we feel it in our whole body. If we get angry too often, our heart might not be ablet o take it and it will indirectly affect our blood pressure too.
