underarm plucking

What's the best way to pluck? I'm very scared about this because they said, infections on the underarm can easily lead to other infections. When I pluck, I sometimes have serious irritation and I wonder whether this would be bad for my health. Also, I wonder whether there are other alternatives to plucking. I don't really like shaving because that means I have to do it everyday. Lasers, on the other hand, are a bit expensive.

You pluck? Oh my word. Your skin is going to get beyond irritated. I just shave. And I don't have to do it every day. Maybe some people's under arm hair grows back quickly, but mine certainly does not. I would not recommend plucking at all. That is going to be so painful. SO SO painful. It's bad enough if you have to pluck your eyebrows. But doing the hair under your arms has to be torture.

Yes I agree with you. Shaving is so much better and less painful. Individuals can even use sensitive razors or shaving cream. I think that would be better for her to do. I can only imagine how painful that must be.

Shaving I think is the best and safe way..plucking is time consuming and dangerous, you might be infected.. though yes it takes a long time for you to pluck again but still it's not advisable to us girls to do it because I read one article which said that plucking can cause darkeness of underarm..

I've read the same thing about shaving which is crazy because I've been doing it for years and never got darkened from it nor have I seen it happen to anyone else.

I cannot believe that you actually pluck hair from under your arms! Incredible. Shaving is much easier or waxing would last longer. I shave under my arms every few days. It only takes a few minutes and NO PAIN

Why not just shave? If you do it right, its way better than tormenting your neighbors while you scream in pain with each hair that is plucked.

You can try hair removal cream or was strips if plucking is not suitable for you. I had been plucking for many years, no problem. Once your get started, your skin will adjust to it. Don't wait till the hair becomes thick and long. Pluck every 2 or 3 days, so you only need to pluck minimal short hair which is not going to irritate the skin so much.

Sorry, a little typo there. I meant wax strip.

Hi there! I don't pluck because it is so painful I can cry as loud as a newborn baby. What I do is shaving. I don't do it everyday, I shave whenever I have to go out or expose my underarm. With that, I don't scratch my underarms too much. Another that I tried which is as painful as plucking is waxing. I use waxing strips so I can easily put it without any sticky problems. Lastly, I haven't tried the laser treatment. Not only it is really expensive but hair will still grow back so I'll be having "sessions" and cost me more than a strip of wax or a blade of razor. Good luck wander_n_wonder! :)

I pluck like everyday, after taking a bath, no problem at all, except the hair of course., I hate it actually but I agree with you that lasers are expensive so I have no choice but to pluck. I rarely shave, when I'm in a hurry,. I am planning to take waxing for the first time, see if its more convenient and less hassle. =)
