Dang Post Office Did It Again!

Walker's and my promotional post cards arrived, but they're stuck at the post office. Why? Because the idiot in charge decided not to bother!! I'm so sick of this!!! Fortunately I know someone here, who works for Canada Post, and will go get them for me. I hope to hear from him by tomorrow night. Maybe if he has to pick up the slack for them too often, he'll fire someone. lol I appreciate him getting things for me, and I tell him everytime, however, it shouldn't be an issue in the first place. Why can't people just do their jobs, instead of slacking off?
As for getting it myself, it's $16 cab fare return. Before I found Duncan, I spent about $600 a year in cab fare, picking up packages!!!!! What's the point of paying fir express shipping, just to turn around, and spend money on pick-up? Aarrgghh!!!

Cabs are costly in the United States also. I agree that Express Shipping should be delivered right to your door and the driver should knock to make sure you get the package.
The mail service will be changing in the United States in August. Good bye to Saturday Mail, as the postage office is losing money and this is their solution. I'll miss Saturday Mail, as normally get my pay check that day, so will have to wait longer for money.

I heard about it in February and answered the survey about the loss of delivery on Saturdays. I see today that there were a lot of people opposed to this way of solving the problem, so appears its not going to happen August 5th. I don't know what the post office will do now, but expect it means another postage increase.

yep know what you mean, glad you have someone who can get them for you. Are there no buses that go there?
Here we have very little post offices now but we have postal outlets, in malls and stores. For me I still would have to take the bus.

Sorry to hear that.. Shame on them. But why dont they deliver to your home there?
