Today I saw a program about four young ladies about to throw away a piece of clothing. Amazingly they were shown how to change the clothes. One young lady added lovely decoration and another lady made her skirt shorter by taking up the hem. I saw one lady take in her dress to suit her now she has lost weight. The last lady put on elbow patches to her old top. It looked wonderful and I thought well done.
Traveling is my top skill and I have visited more than 60 different countries. I am keen to learn about how to cook vegan food and how to make my home clutter free. I am getting on well with my clutter clearing. I wish I could learn about do it yourself skills. How about you?

I have never really thought of traveling as a 'skill', but reading all your posts about your traveling adventures make me realize such experiences do require many skills. I can't think of one particular skill that I know well; I suppose I just go by with enough skills to survive daily. But I am one who is always willing to learn.

I would say my skills are administrative and computer. I can type fast, and know how to do administrative work. I am organized so that would probably be one of the top skills along with typing. I learned to type in high school and I have been on computers almost every day for years. My typing has just improved and has gotten a lot faster. I also know how to use Microsoft programs such as word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote.
The skills I like to acquire are knowledge and how to perform human resource duties. I would like to work in human resources one day. I am currently taking a class for human resources, but I would still like to learn more.
I have never traveled other than to the beach in my state. I would like to visit other states in the country but I have never had the money to do so. When I was younger I went to a beach in another state but that was the only traveling I have ever done, and I was younger so I don’t remember much about it.
I have a friend who moves a lot and she posts pictures of the different states, such beautiful scenery in other states. I would like to experience traveling one day.

I can cook quite well, play the piano, and sing. I can also write and I can also edit music files. Not interested in vegan foods - you might have to be careful as far as your children concerned, they do need a certain amount of protein and if there is not rice mixed with beans in the house, it might not be too good for them. I am good at hand stitching but not machine sewing. And bad at thread needles, but luckily I got a needle threader. I wish I could do cake decorating and could learn other languages easier.

I think that art and crafts, writing, languages and music are my top skills. I am an artist and I paint, draw and make photomanipulations. I also like other kinds of creative activities. I make my own greeting cards, and I like decoupage, papercuts and knitting. I write poems and short stories, I am good at languages and I can play the piano by ear. I am not good at cooking, I am not a good driver, my sense of direction is extremely bad and I often get lost, and I am not good at sports. I would like to improve my cooking skills and I want to experiment with new recipes more often. I would also like to experiment with art techniques that I haven't tried for instance different kinds of sculptures.

Isn't it amazing what we can do with a bit of creative thinking?
I'm wondering if you could earn good money from writing travel articles on all your experiences from travelling to other countries?
There are many vegan cooking courses around, but most of them cost a lot of money. See what you can find & always keep an eye out for any deals that come up. I use the Living Social website a lot. They offer huge discounts on cooking courses as well, often hosted by local vegan restaurant chefs. I cannot see any on there today, but they do update regularly. Another way is to work for a vegan restaurant part time or to ask them if they can show you one day. I know many down here would agree to do just that.
I taught myself how to prepare my food just from eating out, asking questions, trial & error & online recipes. I've also taught myself many DIY skills around the house which I've spent the past five years or so renovating. I was really very hopeless at doing things like that before I was 'motivated' by my wife & her DIY dad from QLD! There is lots of online help for things like this that I subscribe to for free.
Speaking of those Living Social Deals, I've recently gotten back into Ballroom Dance after a ten year 'break' (can you believe it? Ten years?) thanks to two of these deals. The first one offered some group & private lessons plus two months of socials for just $30 (normally over ten times that price), which I've completed. The second offered six weeks of one hour group sessions plus a private lesson for just $15! I've not completed that one yet, but have been there last week & it was wonderful. I'm seriously considering writing a blog on the whole experience & posting it in the appropriate MyLot section.
I'm also in the process of learning about & building multiple 'free energy devices' as I go. I have three partial systems working now & am working on a whole string of fourty small power sources as I write. I'm also helping someone else locally with their builds.
These all keep me quite busy nowadays & until I finish them, I don't have much of a desire to learn any more skills, though I do wish I could better my computing skills, perhaps by taking a computer science course?

I really wish I had the capability and talent to be able to learn another language, I would love to be bi-lingual, but I can only speak my mother tongue English. I tried so hard at school to learn French, but I just didn't have the right teaching, and I never became fluent, I came away with just a passable grade. Being fluent in many languages opens so many doors in life. But I guess that I have to accept that learning a language is not my forte.
