In this generation, one of the common social network communication is Facebook.Almost everybody has an account with it.Important features to offer to us is the opportunity that we can upload our pictures with our special someone. But as rime passes by, I've recognize something and it's the habit of uploading foods on it.A question started to bothered in my life, is it necessary to do,Before we prayed before starting to eat but now, we take pictures before eating.Do you have this kind of practice also?If you do, maybe it's time to change. It would be advantage if we upload places and your own pictures but not necessarily the foods you've eaten.

You see as far as uploading pictures on FB is concerned, sky is the limit. One could post anything, any picture and that includes pictures of food. I see nothing wrong in it. You see am from India and you might not be aware about some Indian dishes, therefore, if I upload photo of any Indian dish, you will get an idea how it actually looks. You could choose not to upload food pictures and also not to 'like' or post your comments on such pictures.

Leave those people, who want to be boostful and have tendency to brag. There is no need to feel intimitated by their actions.

well that's what made it so irritating since we don't have the right to tell them is not allowed then they are posting irrelevant and common and so simple foods. With that it only appeal as so boastful. They only brag!!!!!!!!

Dessert worthy of a picture - I actually sat before one of these (but not this one). It was AMAZING
I have only ever been to one place that the food deserved pictures, and we took them. If a restaurant spends as much time as this place obviously did making a fabulous display of a dish, then it only makes sense to honor it with a picture.

There's no question if the restaurant is really special however if it is just ordinary and simple one's then it's already irritating. It's annoying.Sometimes I asked if what's the sense?

We have an existing tradition in my family where we do indeed take pictures of the food set on the table. We do this during special occasions and we've been doing it even before Facebook was invented. I'm not sure though if any of my family post those pics online. If they do, it's probably one way to somehow depict how festive that occasion was. I also have friends who really take pictures of the food they've eaten especially if it's their first time to have tasted it and or if it was prepared somewhat uniquely. They post it of Facebook so that their friends would know of it. And pictures usually make the food more sumptuous to eat than just using words to describe it. Well, this is just my take on the matter. I don't mind those pics since I like trying out food of all sorts

well based on the explanation you presented it is very clear that it's exempted to what I mean. And I can't say something since it's also part of your tradition!I do agree that it's somewhat more encouraging to eat if we can actually see the food since we are visual.

It's good if it's only few shots but sometimes i'm already irritated because even if it's just simple ordinary food they posted. It seems they are already bragging it and it's really annoying.

This happens so often with my friends, I always get pictures of their food on my facebook:) I think it is ok, if I don't have the time I simply skip, otherwise I will check out to see if it looks nice. Often it is done when my friends want to recommend a restaurant or dish anyway so it is good to know of a good restaurant to go to.

It's okay if the real purpose is to really give some information not to brag.

I understand if someone is a food blogger and he/she wants to take photos when the food comes. If just for posting photo on FB, I will never ever eat with that person again. This is very annoying to the people one is eating with and equally annoying to the people looking at the FB posting. Don't you agree?

You're right, sometimes it's really annoying and what's worse is that it sometimes destroy the good taste of the food in front of the table.

It seems that today we are taking pictures of all manner of things. Is it just because we can or what? I think we just love to post and get others opinions and inpust on things. It's a new hobby. Sadly these people don't have other things to do with their lives.

I am guilty to have posted some of the food that we had during some of our dinners our get together with friends. But that only happens when I just do it when I feel like doing it. Well, actually, i just started doing it to attach it to posts I make. Otherwise, I would just be eating right away.

yes, i can see that too even with my friends on facebook, some of them take pictures of the food they have for the day or the food they are cooking, they took pictures just to post of facebook. as for me, i don't usually post food photos on my facebook account. some people just like to post anything on their fb account, some are just like bragging about these things..

hey daisy. i myself is a food blogger. i take pictures of food in different restaurants or places i've been too. as a filipino, i am proud of our delicious food which foreigners love to try when they are in our country. just like uploading places, it is also a way of promoting not only the beautiful places in our country but also the rich and flavorful food we have. i am a food lover. and i am not alone. lots of my friends love posts about food. it gives them ideas on what restaurants serves what. it really depends on how they take it.
