My husband and I decided to take some time off and watch a movie, to which I made some reservations. Prior to leaving, my husband decided to take a quick jog around the village. My daughter does not normally cry when my husband leaves the house but this afternoon is different. She keeps on crying when my husband goes out and does not want her dad out of her sight. My husband thinks it's a bad omen. He has a friend who lost his dad due to an accident. Prior to the accident, this friend keeps on crying and does not want his dad to leave. But his dad still left and in that same night, he got killed. I am not really superstitious but after hearing this, I decided to just cancel the movie and stay in the house instead. My daughter is still very young and I don't want her to grow up without us on her side. Do you believe in omens or signs? Do you think there's a deeper meaning into this? Share your thoughts!

Bad omens/signs are just superstitions which really never exist. It's the human mind that gets used to such meaningless superstitions. We are living in the most advanced century and should keep aside all such silly thoughts and go forward.

I really don't believe in omen or bad signs because it was just superstitious. Even that so I sometimes follow them. Nothing bad will happen if you do it because you are just preventing something bad that might happen. Just like you, I will also cancel the movie because it is your husband's life that may be in danger. But keep in mind that everything is in GOD's will. :)

I still believe in the power of prayer :) I am not superstitious at all and I don't really follow it. So far, nothing bad has happened and I'm thankful for that. But yesterday was an exception. My daughter's behavior was really odd whenever my husband goes out and she doesn't stop crying until she sees him. There's nothing wrong with believing in it once in a while because we'll never know what might happen.

i do believe in signs and bad things when you have these with you, it is best to be careful. there are a lot of people who have such experiences and well they all have stories about bad omens, and signs and they have ignored them and indeed something bad has happened.

That's why I chose to cancel our date because of this. My daughter doesn't normally cry when we leave the house but this time is different. We find it really odd that she is so clingy and she doesn't want her dad to leave. Instead of brushing it aside, we chose to be superstitious and be careful. This is better and besides, the movie can wait :)

I don't believe in bad omen or signs, friend. But I had to admit that bad omen sometimes really affects my mood, though I don't believe they will become true. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy yourself!

I don't normally believe as well. But after hearing the story and relating it to what happened earlier, I can't help but become superstitious. My daughter is involved here and I don't want her to grow up without us.

I am a postive type of person too. But I got scared when my husband told me the story about his friend. I don't want to risk anything so I'd rather stay at home and be with my daughter :)
