Had a 45 minutes video call wwith my mother, who works in Israel as a caregiver. I really miss her, for the help of skype I fell that she is just around. But it is really feels me happy if she is beside me, I can hug and kiss her. But I know she need to work there to sustain our needs. See you very soon.

Yes I feel the same way like you do. My dad also worked in Canada. He's already there for 4 years now. For me and my Dad were very close, I can't stop thinking about him if he's okay or not. I miss the time we spend together. But because of financial reasons, he needs to be away from us, sacrificing and working really hard in order to sustain our daily needs. I miss him so much and maybe soon he'll come home for good and will spend those moments again.

Uwow! You're lucky she has access to Skype. My mom also lives in a different country. Sadly she doesn't have internet access. I usually call her on her mobile phone and sometimes she does too. I miss her even though my siblings and I don't have that strong bond with our family because we were raised as independent kids. It's great we have those free instant messengers available. Have a lovely day!

I chat with my mom through Facebook chat and it is same like skype. She also lives and worked in UK for many years as a private nurse. I missed her, but thanks to webcam chat- we are able to see each other and fill the emptiness.

Yeah skype is indeed a very useful computer application. I prefer it over yahoo messenger especially for video calls. My parents are in abroad also, so skype is really one of our main form of long-distance communication aside from the traditional phone calls over cellphones and text messages.

Thank God for Skype right? It is so good that you were able to see and talk to your mom from such a distance. I love that they invented such a system so we who live far away from family and friends can see each other whenever we wish too. I skype almost everyday with my daughter and my grandkids. Without skype, being away from my girls and grandkids would drive me crazy.

Skype made it easier to be in touch with a loved one no matter where they are. And also it has been a usual tool for online jobs. Like when I was still actively working on a homebased job, the means of communication between my employer and me or another client is through Skype. Not only do we make use of video call, but also we are able to hold meetings and present files through screen sharing.

Yes, this is wonderful means of communication and it brings our loved ones close to each other. Even though we may be far away from each other but the distance has been drawn closer due to Skype . This is the means my family and I communicate with one another while at work or outside the house. We even communicate with one another in the house . As we may be in our respective rooms or some may be upstair, others downstair. It is marvellous !
