do you scroll down to read comments there?
some people are just trolling, others post unlikable and off topic comments.
what the use of it, youtube isnt good. especially for kids.

I normally do not comment on YouTube videos. Not sure if YouTube allows comments to be moderated? I think it is the responsibility of the owners to check on the comments and are authorize to delete if they want to. However, some owners buy comments. I think the number of comments have something to do with popularity on YouTube. It is a double edged sword.

Here in Mylot i scroll down on replies, but on other sites, i don't usually do it unless i'm interested on that particular thing. Usually i scrolls when i come to book or movie reviews, i want to know the comment of other regarding about book and movies, because i am so fond in reading books and watching movies.
